Apparently I just missed a brown snake as well on a neighbour's driveway. Possibly more are being driven into urban areas by the fires.

I think having a petrol powered one indoors might be unsafe. But my wife has offered to buy me a real petrol model engine for my birthday. I’m thinking about it but I’d rather have a jet engine model next.

(the wires are the HT leads for the spark plugs which are really led and flash as if sparking.)

Well born in Addiscombe, lived for a few years in Shirley don't you know. Lived for two maybe three years on the Hants Surrey border.
I feel we have now landed on our feet by coming North and living by the Thames.

Excellent. Another member of Urban’s Surrey/Hants ran away to that London crew I spent my formative years just up the road and ran away ASAP

I only speant two/three years there before running away; thats another sad tale
It was as good as a garrison town where I lived; forces people were banned from many of the locals, not that I got out much in those days.
Some good memories as well though, not all bad/sad ones.
