Not sure yet - either something with courgettes and couscous, or maybe some kind of stuffed pasta with a cherry tomato sauce as just bought about a kilo off Whitechapel Market for a quid!

i havent thought about it til now...need to do something healthy, spent the weekend drinking, eating takeaways and lily o'briens handmade chocolates...have spuds at home & very little else. will have to go shopping, might make a veggie shepherds pie - ooh i have lentils, that's what i'll do, just need some carrots & onions. sorted

well, lunch was a can of coke and a chocolate bar  so dinner will be more substansial, either fish pie or a cheese salad sandwhich, and hopefully a spliff if all comes together

I'm having what I had last night, cos it was fucking gorgeous. Dead simple but hit the spot.

Baked spud (crispy skin, naturellement), rocket salad with french dressing, PERFECT cheese omelette. And no, Delia, I didn't mix the cheese with the egg prior to cooking, you disgust me.

How do you make it? I want step by step and details - my omelettes always fall apart/die.
I did pretty much everything else she asked of me - not sure why cos I already make perfectly good omelettes, but have to say, this did turn out even BETTER  ahem, as follows (I c+pd but have tried to clear up all the pathetic comments, but left in the disgusting one:D ):

"break the eggs carefully into a bowl and season with salt and freshly milled pepper. Blend the egg yolks and whites with a large fork – the number one rule is not to over-mix – no beating or whisking. At this stage you could add some snipped chives or perhaps 1½ oz (40 g) of grated cheese to the eggs :)eek: )if you like. These should be gently combined with the eggs using a fork.

use a mixture of oil and butter, ½ teaspoon of each. Place the pan on the heat and let it get quite hot, add the butter and oil and as soon as it melts swirl it round, tilting the pan so that the base and the sides get coated

Turn the heat up to its highest setting then when the butter is foaming, pour the eggs into the pan, tilting it to and fro to spread the eggs evenly over the base. Leave it on the heat without moving it for a count of five.

a bubbly frill will appear round the edge. Now you can tilt the pan to 45 degrees and, using a tablespoon, draw the edge of the omelette into the centre. The liquid egg will flow into the space, filling it. Now tip the pan the other way and do the same thing. Keep tilting it backwards and forwards, pulling the edges so that the egg can travel into the space left – all this will only take half a minute.

Soon there will be just a small amount of liquid left, just on the surface, so now is the time to start folding. Tilt the pan again and flip one side of the omelette into the centre then fold again. Take the pan to a warm plate and the last fold will be when you tip the omelette on to the plate. "

She can't half waffle, eh?! I added me cheese just as there was a smidgeon of runny egg on the top, then folded as she said and left it in the pan for a minute to set the egg

Lovely

Beer.

Meeting mate for celebratory drinkies tonight, but i won't have time to go home first for any food  am already hungry, might have to go via greggs or similar.

Gawd, I cut that bit out, under the pathetic comments banner!!

2-3, large

And use a pan that measures 6 inches (15 cm) in diameter

 :p :D

I did say step by step and details!! :p

What type of butter should I use - salted or unsalted? Is olive oil ok? 5th or 6th pressing? What size fork should I blend the eggs with?

;)

See, told you I couldn't make omelettes
You can now though

Just remember not to put the cheese in with the raw eggs. I'm still getting over that particularly loathsome piece of guidance

Delia says not to (see me link)

I always beat the bloody hell out of them, but have to admit that last nights folded/ever so slightly whisked eggs did make a better omelette

That's interesting, I'll try that next time. :)

Some chicken and ham and cold leftover thingies from last night, possibly jazzed up with a few chips and whatever else is hanging around the fridge.

It's one of those cannae be fucked sort of evenings, I've decided.
