A sort of stir fry morphing into stove top stew with chicken, onions, garlic, courgettes, aubergine, red pepper, tomatoes, portabello mushrooms, a carrot and a big bunch of chard accompanied by mash made with creme fraiche and butter. I promptly fell asleep very full and woke up at an unearthly hour to post on the internets

Couldn't find my favourite spicy lentil soup recipe, so had lovely spiced lentils and tomatoes with new potatoes + butter + chives and peas.

Beer tonight I think.

Spaghetti bollock-naked, as my lovely dad used to call it - with pennoni rigati pasta rarrrr

And lemon meringue pie if I go the tesco  (which I probably will now, cos I've just talked myself into it)

I've had to resort to shopping at Iceland again but it is possible to be a little inventive so what I do is buy their frozen mash and spinach, throw it in a pot with some garlic and after about twenty minutes in the oven, mix in some cheese, butter and a little cream.

It's a bit like colcannon mash with the savoy cabbage in it. I think the mash potato and the spinach are £1 a bag which will probably make 3-4 large casserole dishes.

served with sausages! :)

I always see that smiley as an mmmmmmmm or yummmmmm :)

What's it meant to be?

ahhh, I just hovered over it, and it says embarrassment.... ooops, only took me 3 years! :D

Genius. :D

I'm having some pasta tonight. With a tomatoey sauce and possibly some chicken or something. You can tell I've put a lot of thought into this can't you?

 (possibly;))

like everything else, i'm afraid the curry spices won't work for viruses :)

but enjoy the food nevertheless

I don't think they kill the virus but they are definitely cathartic!

My dad would make me (very) hot and sour 'tom yum' soup when I had a cold.
All the extra snot and tears suddenly pouring out really helps you feel like you have been 'flushed out' :D

Oh tonight tea I think is gonna be a bit of an

I had to use up a load of frozen broccoli, baby carrots and peas to make room in the freezer.
I decided to part boil them and then make a basic tomato based pasta sauce, with loads of coriander, oregano and cayen pepper and chuck the veggies in.

Gonna eat this later with some pasta and a little grated cheese.

not sure why I decided in this idea now though?
It looks weird!

I posted my roast squirrel recipe and pic and the Livejournal feed got a bit of a response. Over 100 comments :D

Will you whizz it up in the blender? I would.

We had a big long conversation at work the other day based on the fact that I knew someone who had cooked a squirrel! :D

Tonight we had pasta bolognese. And my young nephew who stayed for tea complimented me on my cooking. :D
