I can't believe more people aren't ooh-ing and aaah-ing at my bargainalicious Le Creuset set. Le Creuset! 5 pans! With spiffy rack! For £31!

oooohh ahhhhh....;)

That 'spring pasta' sounds lovely foamy

I'm going for a nice stodgy tea tonight - mashed spuds with steak and kidley pie, mushy peas, cauli, and gravy

But first...a coupla cans of draught guinness

It will :) I've got the same recipe and it's been one of my staples for years. Everyone I've ever made it for has gone wild for it. Enjoy!

Brilliant! Thanks May. I'm even more excited about it now! I've had to scour Brixton for amchoor today and am so glad I eventually found some in a secret shop I've never seen in the market before...it's down a little veg-lined alleyway off Electric Avenue...I think it probably links up with the covered market on the other side but it was an ace find!

We were gonna have bangers & mash but missus/kids have made rice krispie cakes, chocolate brownies & wholemeal bread this afternoon and we're all pretty bursting from tasting them all.

Just been offered a Chinese takeaway so it'll probably be chicken in black bean sauce, egg fried rice and a few prawn crackers.

ETA: Ooh, Aah @ missfran.

Potato Boulangere courtest of Miss Fran, though I've messed with it quite a bit
Le Creuset for £31? Does that include postage cos they'll weigh a ton?

£31 for a le creuset set, bargain!

Oooohhh aaahhhh

They look alright in the picture from your link.

Is there any benefit from cooking with them? I remember my mum had a cast iron pan when i was younger that was supposed to give us extra iron.

Whatever, they're a good looking set of pans. Wish i had space for something like that tbh. *turns green* :D

I'm having some rice that wasn't cooled properly and is laced with deadly flesh-eating bacteria.

After that its samosas with coriander chutney (assuming i'm still alive) :p

Tapas tonight in town.

Which town would that be then?

Oooh! Aaaah! That's amazing missfran! I'm hugely jealous!

I can't for the life of me remember what I had for tea. I'm sure it will come back to me if I think hard enough. :hmm:

Tuna salad with vine ripened tomatoes, grilled peppers and olives nomnomnom  oh... sneaky 2 slices of wholemeal toast as well :)

Thank you, I am mollified by the ooohs and aaahs.

It's collect only. I'm making my dad go to Milton Keynes tomorrow to pick them up

I think the main benefit is that they last pretty much forever. And they look good. Cast iron gives good heat distribution too, so less "hot spots". And they can be used both on the hob and in the oven. And, well, it's Le Creuset.

I don't really have space for them to be honest  I'll fit them in somehow though.

dunno. ate massive sandwich for lunch and now not very hungry. maybe nothing? maybe a pea, or something else very small...

Roast lamb, roast potatoes, broccoli, green beans and gravy.

Although we had chips afer swimming, so I'm thinking I might sack my portion of stodge off and just have a nice big salad with my lamb.... :hmm:

But I'm soooooooooooooo fullllllllllllllllll............ :D

Hey I owe you a pm btw lovely - but just to say the feeling was mutual - they very much enjoyed seeing you too.

Oh and he told me what the filthy man said, too..... :( :D

Tbh, once I've bothered doing them for everyone else, it's pretty unlikely that at least a couple of small ones won't end up on my plate too..... ;) :D
