Lack of time at weekends now I have a pesky gf (who doesn't even have a proper cooker) . I'm also constantly trying not to spend too much, and am getting old therefore tired - too tired and hungry when I get in from work to spend delicious hours cooking up something good
And they'll demolish mountains of pasta with whatever is put on it, so they're not completely fussy. I don't "make" them eat anything, but I insist they at least try some of everything. They know where the bread and cold meats are kept if they're really repulsed. So far, so good-- the only thing they've both turned their noses up at is rabbit, oddly enough. :shrug: ...
but what if you were to force yourself into it? Say you sent out a dinner invitation to folks you know will be expecting a grand nosh...

last time, me and one of me bessie mates cooked up a roast goose with every trimming you can imagine. it was sooo lush, and i still have goose fat int freezer for roasties
