. . . .a rather nice bottle of Pinot . . . . .

Oooh and a recently decanted port to round up

Pinot was a T@sco Finest and was rubbish - - - that'll end up going into a "gravy"

and the recently decanted port

See "appropriate" thread - suffice to say, sink ----------------> that way!!

Still, killer roasties!!

Had an afternoon fry up so not hungry or motivated. I have some chicken breasts that HAVE to be cooked tonight though, just not sure what to do with them???!!!

Roast/bake them for chicken sarnies tomorrow?
Or cut into small cubes fry, and mix with pasta and pesto - for a pasta salad lunch :)

Okay, decided that I am going to cut them into cubes, coat them in Marmite and fry them up :)

went to someone's house for dinner last nite. she gave me leftover lasagna and wonderful deviled eggs to take home.

so i have that and a few 2 day old tacos plus some coleslaw leftover from lunch yesterday.

so it'll be some type of funky medley tonite :D

Dinner 1: 2 gammon steaks, shredded carrots, beetroot, spring onion, potato salad, cold sausage, coleslaw.

Dinner 2: One large portion 'Turkey a la King' (?), cabbage, rice.

1 bread roll :)

i just said nom nom out loud reading that :D will have to try it soon

It was yum, we had new potatoes roasted with garlic and rosemary, green beans, brocolli and sweetcorn to go with it.:)

I did a mushroom and potato gratin to go with a big fat chunk of sirloin and some peas cooked with lettuce and spring onion. It was a BAD BOY!

Leftover roast chicken in a pasta sauce with mushrooms, bacon, shallots, garlic, basil and tomatoes. Grated gruyere and parmesan on top.

i'm still hungry but hungry for something unhealthy i feel. but i ony have healthy stuff in, so sticks of veg, pitta bread and tzatzi it is :)

Cashew nut roast, roast tatties, brocolli, carrots and gravy, followed by rhubarb and ginger crumble.

Feeling a little bloated. :(

Two slices of cold pizza, some salami and a giant chocolate cookie.

And two gin and tonics.

And a satsuma.

That sounds delicious. Did you make it yourself?

Yep just about to eat it now. It was really easy and quick!

Paella

Just fry some onions, garlic and peppers and carrot in a bit of olive oil, when they have softened a bit add the prawns and scallops then add the paella rice stir for a bit then add twice as much water as rice, with a fish stock cube chucked in. Bring to boil then simmer. When done I added the spinach and a bit of soya sauce, did not use saffron as too expensive. I would have used peas but ran out.

experimented with lamb shanks tonight and roasted sweet potatoes - was okay-ish, can't seem to get the texture right.

can't seem to get my head round traditional cuisines :(
