GOOD. I hope we can shame you into actually cooking stuff! You're clearly not a bad cook from the few things you've described to us. Give it a go. A week of home-cooked meals - they don't have to be fancy, just not take-away. See how much you save and how much better you feel. :)
OK thats an idea for an experiment down the road. I just started a new job and my father is sick so i'm pretty stressed out. But when things settle down in a month or two (hopefully) then I can try it out and keep you updated :)

Just keep reminding me missfran

I have no idea what's so exciting, but I'm looking forward to finding out :D

Right, off to fame and fortune with my pasties I go.
Me too! When do we find out Moggy?

Good luck again missfran!

right, i need some inspiration :) the next oppitunity i get to cook/choose my own teas is saturday , which is also my birthday. so i am going to treat myself cos i shall be spending it home alone ( well the kids will be here but asleep, so you knows what i mean) watching high schhol musical

options are pizza or curry takeaway (neither are that yum but they are the only ones that deliver , or i can in theory get to the supermarket tmw afternoon as i finish 2 hours before the kids childcare pick up time :D

so wise suburban foodies, what can i cook thats indulgent , safe for me to eat and doesnt require obsence amounts of skill

Tuesday although I reckon I could let on by PM. I just don't want certain parties catching on just yet.

We are having a lovely rice/chorizo/chicken thingy from my old chicken recipe book. i shall make enough to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Oooh, I couldn't possibly wait till Tuesday! Can I have a PM please?

oh and an update is since I don't feel well enough to go to my mates for tea (she's pregnant and I don't want her being ill too) bees is going to cook tea

what it will be, I have no idea :D

Dunno what we're having

something easy i think and we have loads of veg to use up so it'll probably be healthy for once.

*blows dust off halo*

Having new boiler fitted. Still have gas but lack of hot water and heating for the night seems like a good enough excuse to go out for dinner and stay in boozer until closing time.

I have an urge for pizza, but shop bought (veggie) ones are all so crap!

I think I might make myself some nachos

Eh, the M&S ones are quite good, as are the Dr Oetker (sp) ones for a start?

I even quite like the el cheapo thin crust Tesco garlic mushroom version.

Tonight and I haven't a bleeding clue what to cook. Maybe something simple like pasta arrabiata I reckon.

Ah okay, I don't really shop in M&S - would never be my first thought when pizza shopping. might check it.

hmmmmm *ponders*

PM me Mogden, I'm dying to know!

The filming went well, they did a very quick interview with me about pasties then I spent the rest of the day in the audience. Gino D'Acampo's a nice man :)

Jeremy Edwards (used to be in Hollyoaks and Holby City) was the presenter. Also a nice man. Other guests were Tom Parker-Bowles and Marilees Parker. Non-chef guests were Aggie McKenzie from How Clean Is Your House and Linda Robson off Birds with a Feather.

If anyone else can spare half a day in the next couple of weeks, they're still filming and looking for guests.

Fair enough. Hope things settle down for you soon :)

When is this thing going to be on the tellybox missfran?

At poo towers it's steak night! Sirloin, chip shop chips, grilled tomatoes and a big fat field mushroom with garlic maybe.

Yom!

I did have the arse to rustle something up last night - carbonara and garlic bread - I didn't like it very much, but Cpn was happy.

Might be sausage and lentil casserole tonight :)

I had fishfingers, chips and peas for tea last night, it was GREAT. Will eat the rest of the supplies for lunch today, then I think Mr K is bringing home some delicious M&S food for tea tonight
