Finally got to go to Gourmet San, but got takeaway to avoid listening to an insufferable cock trying to impress his date. If he pulls tonight, there is no justice in the world.

another meal out :oops: Yummy spicy chicken tagine with chickpeas and roasted veg in tomato sauce with couscous.
couscous really expands in my tummy though. Feel like I'm about to burst.

New gas!

I cook for the first time in 4 days :) Fridge was empty mind. Had to make a late run to the local midnight shop.

Andalucian vegetable stew (my own).

In a generous amount of olive oil fry garlic, onions, dried red peppers, chili, cumin and fennel seeds.

Add chopped fresh peppers (red, yellow and green - from the recycling bin). Simmer for 20 minutes. Add salt, lemon rind and ground pepper. A Litre of water and about 5 chopped tomatoes. Simmer with oregano and mint until hungry.

Serve with bread.

I'm waiting. No housemates yet. Bliss.
 
Its going to be either fried eggs on buttered toasted muffins, or peppered mackerel with spuds. Leaning towards the eggy muffins though...

Oats and summer fruits for pudding.
 
Butternut squash, cherrybell peppers stuffed with goats cheese (well, a cube of goats cheese), olives, feta, spinach, walnuts, chick peas, cherry tomatoes, sweet potatoe cubes, asparagus and a cpl of doorstops of rye bread.

Washed down with strong Polish lager.
 
I think it is a spud-fest for me today. Steamed new spuds, squished a bit and mixed with fried garlic and chilli, herb butter and fresh mint, and some toasted sesame oil to make it even nicer. I'm such a fat pig!

But will atone for it with a healthy butter bean, spring onion, tomato and roast pepper salad thing tomorrow. :)
 
Wraps using tofu skin cut in to circles. Inside the tofu wrap is home made salsa, strips of cucumber and red pepper, cooked mung means mashed up with cumin and coriander leaf. Served with brown rice and extra salsa.
 
Chicken salad with lots of seeds in it. Feeling guilty and enraged by my spare tyre (not enough to not be drinking ale right now though).
 
Chicken kiev in the oven (not breaded, but breasts on the bone supermarket prepared with garlic butter), boiled baby potatoes and mushy peas.
