What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Not risotto as apparently I don't have any rice for it :(
So a freezer dinner of breaded cod and chips and tenderstem broc and petite pois.
LEMON CURD YOGURT FOR PUDDING!!!! :D

 :D

Our breaded haddock actually turned out to be cod, our peas are also petit pois and we DID have some tenderstem broc in the fridge...but errrr....I didn't cook it...if I'd only checked the thread first! All the same I reckon it's fair to say *TWINS* :D

Prawn & spinach tagliatelle, although not very hungry as butchers made a delicious cake which I have had two huge pieces of.

Baberaham Lincoln! : D

You probably all know this but if you have a my waitrose card you can have a free coffee every day*, no purchase necessary.

*If your store has a coffee machine obviously. We also got a free observer but I think that was a one off. It's usually the Torygraph or the Daily Bigot.

I put this in the fridge thread by accident. : D

Thin cut sirloin steak, oyster mushrooms (just bought both reduced in Sainsburys) and fried potatoes.
And pineapple pieces (also reduced) for dessert.

Leftover roast chicken. Probably with more salad.

Roast chicken in a little green salad, red pepper, tomato, grated carrot, spring onion, avocado, mixed seeds with a lemon and olive oil dressing.

New potatoes on the side.

All I can see up there ^ is po-tay-toes. fucking sam wise

Will try again for veggies and pasta, but this cooking lark is hard with a new baby :hmm:

my dad's homemade shepherds pie with green beans and carrots. My dad's/Nigella Lawson's homemade chocolate/marshmallow/orange mousse for desert  We ate at 5.30 though so I was hungry again by 9

We had the couscous left over from yesterday with spicy chickpea and courgette. We had a couple of bits of halloumi on the side and some homemade spicy yoghurt dip.

It's my son's birthday on Thursday and my mum's coming down so we're having a birthday meal (including a birthday cake which we'll just have to drag out till Thursday :D ) which WAS going to be sticky ribs, garlic/paprika/thyme wedges and salad...but turns out my mum's bought half a lamb leg, too...only my daughter won't eat that  so I'm going to cook it ALL, give my daughter ribs and then save the rest of those for tom.
Son almost went with the usual double choc brownie with chocolate fudge icing for his cake...but I suggested a coffee cake for a change and he's gone for that, so gonna give this one a go.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodandd...ary-Berrys-cappuccino-coffee-cake-recipe.html ....(except we'll have it with shitloads of cream, too :p )

 That sounds brilliant. What have they got?

Sooooo, it was a bit disappointing really! It was actually called "Soul Food", not "Street Food" and is supposedly a fusion of Vietnamese and Korean.

They basically had 3 things on the menu with each coming three ways (chicken, beef, or veggie/seitan) -these were a nori roll thing with rice (I think a bit like a temaki), a korean spiced burger, or a version of bibimbap which came in a box (Boximbap!). we both had the veggie bibimbap which was actually pretty nice. Oh, they also had a special, kimchi chips, which seemed to be potato chips with spices and spicy beef and sauce on top.
