What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Chip Barm thanks for posting that recipe. Aubergines are one of those things that I feel I should like more, iyswim, but their natural life cycle in my house is always buy - sit in fridge for three weeks till mouldy - throw away. Perhaps I will give that pasta sauce a whirl.

I'd also recommend Caponata. Yotam's recipe is good as is Antonio Carluccio's. It's beautiful served hot, warm or straight from the fridge. I want to go to Sicily just to eat it.

It was going to be a cheese picnic with my sister in law whilst watching an outdoor Shakespeare play (ugh, most middle class sentence ever!) but we have both bailed so something rummaged from the freezer and using up the creme Fraiche, creamy smoked salmon and broccoli pasta?

I don't know. Have lots of veg, so could do veggie pasta but that would mean effort, getting up and doing the washing up

Wtf is that on the top?

I'm massively pissed off as I'm meant to be going out tonight but my ancient knee injury is suddenly flaring up. So a cheer up takeaway, probably pizza but possibly curry. Hmmm

My parents dropped me off a huge take-away curry from one of the best curry places in toon. Totals surprise, belated birthday present. GTFI! :D

No offense Firky but I've been away from urban for a long time and it really takes being away to realize how sad it's become.
