What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Bacon and mushroom sarnies are lush sheo

We have lots of veg in but I'm knackered so its meatballs or bol from the freezer, or even less effort kievs :hmm:

How is a fritatta different to an omelette?

Yes indeed they are! You defo do need a large roll though to fit it all in :D

Fritatta...done in the oven (or at least cooked on the hob on low for a bit then finished in the oven...means they puff up a bit  )...I think, anyway :hmm:

I am about to order me a chinese  and have decided I'll be double good tomorrow and make a veg soup out of the broc/asparagus (and a potato and a leek and possibly a carrot :hmm: :D ) so will enjoy my dinner guilt free!

We had spag bol last night. First time in ages as I totally went off it which was quite upsetting!

BBQ chicken drumsticks tonight with curly fries and corn on the cob.

Unless I eat all the corn for lunch as I really fancy it now dammit.

I thought the chicken could be cooked from frozen because I'm a twat but it can't.

We've rooted around the bottom of the freezer with all the discarded ice poles and frozen peas and found some chicken nuggets for me and chargrills for him.

Probably with beans instead of corn on the cob.

I had a curry from the tramps buffet, threw in a bit of extra coriander and madras paste, was OK actually. Pleasantly surprised. 75p well spent.

Not a Tesco veg balti by any chance? I got one for the same price the other day. It was okay for dinner at work.

It was really good, probably the best curry ready meal I've ever had.

One of the few things I miss about living in Leicester is the JBS Fish Bar and their paneer tikka kebabs, served in a big fluffy naan with loads of mint and chilli sauce.

Chip Barm thanks for posting that recipe. Aubergines are one of those things that I feel I should like more, iyswim, but their natural life cycle in my house is always buy - sit in fridge for three weeks till mouldy - throw away. Perhaps I will give that pasta sauce a whirl.

That sounds delicious. I am stuck in waiting for mr nags to finish cycling and come home with some food.

Roast chicken, chips and salad. 4 in tonight.

Done the chicken with special stuffing and an extra special salad: very finely chopped garlic, spring onion, chili, ginger, cucumber, lettuce, red and green peppers, tomatoes, apple with lemon juice and extra virgin. Seasoned with mint, pepper, salt, corriander and basil.

To be served with fresh bread in about 30 minutes time.

I can barely wait :)

oh i forgot to mention last nights dinner, we didn't have much in so i made pasta with grated courgette and garlic, a little olive oil and a bit of mozzarella. It were lush
