What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I type very fast with my right index finger only...

Tonight I reckon my food is a little strange, more greek salad, new potatoes and cheese & onion crisp bakes from the freezer. Just using stuff that needs using up and also defrosting the freezer and the crispsbakes wouldn't fit in the other freezer.

I am not hungry but need to eat as I only had a small dinner... I'm thinking bean burger in pita with some tattie wedges (frozen of course) :hmm:

Just had boiled smoked collar of bacon(been in the freezer since last November when it was half price),home made pease pudding and parsley sauce.Did some new boiled pots for the missus cos she said pease pudding is fucking rank.:confused:Me and the kids loved it.

First home cooked meal since we got back from Glastonbury and I was craving vegetables.

We had roasted veg (peppers, cherry toms, garlic, onions), new potatoes and chicken breasts stuffed with cream cheese and breadcrumbs. There should have been carrots too but I fell asleep and the Mr forgot.

Might have apple pie and ice cream in a bit. Just for the fruit of course. ; )

The fella's off out getting his kit off in front of strangers for money toneet :D, so it's just me and our lass.

I really REALLY fancy fishcakes - so will see if I can get smoked fish ones later, and have with chips and garden peas, and a fuckton of garlic mayo

Do you not do life drawing classes too?
You should do a couples life drawing........that sounds dodgier than I intended. :hmm:

Last night we had a new combo we're calling baked potatoes with cheese and beans, it was really nice.

Tonight is MACARONI CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE

YOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUU!!! Call MEEE a ponce?!?!"?!!!

And in the same breath you talk about your posh smoked salmon fishcakes with cheesy stuff! I have to have lemon, and tartare sauce, and salt, and pepper, because I eat ASDA's OWN BRAND fishcakes you see! Tasteless mush and far from the poncey la-di-da smoked salmon, cheese and whatever the hell else is in there with your snobby 'Taste The Difference' cakes...probably dill or lemonseed or bruised lotus essence or something poncey like that. You absolute massive LORD OF THE PONCE

:D:D:D

how did you make it in the end soj? the preview sounded divine.

Just with pesto, sliced sundried toms, halved black olives, with a light smothering of creamy Lancashire cheese - mmmMMMM

Tonight, well, we're packing for Beatherder, so I expect two bottles of red first, heh, and whatever we manage to throw together about 10 o clock tonight :D

Yeh I do but not had a gig in ages. The job market's frigging saturated ha :D We'd absolutely love to do that, but no offers as yet :) There were some whisperings from a guy over the water, but as he seems to be quite fixated on my arse, that might not happen!

Veggie stir fry - ginger, garlic, 2 chillies, mange tout, sugar snap peas, mini corns, mushrooms, kale, spring onions, sesame oil, soy sauce, noodles. :D

I made a sort of spiced chicken stew with lentils and spinach last night, very delicious indeed with raita and naan bread (it was supposed to be curry but turned out a bit more middle eastern somehow...)

Not sure tonight - maybe pork steaks.

Ooooh that sounds nice :) Have you got a recipe?

:) Fry sliced onions in oil till soft, then chuck in 1tsp each of garam masala, curry powder, turmeric, cumin, coriander, half tsp of cayenne, some chopped garlic and ginger. Cook for a minute or so, chuck in a tin of tomatoes. Stir till it's a lovely brown slop, chuck in a load of yellow lentils, some chicken stock, some coconut milk. Let it bubble for a while. Add lots of cooked chicken (obviously you could use fresh and just fry it along with the onions/spices, but I had loads of leftover roast to use up). Cook for a bit longer. Add spinach (I used frozen because I'm a cheapskate). Cook till the lentils are edibly soft, then squeeze a load of lemon juice into it and serve.

I probably would have added some chopped green chilli along with the lemon juice, but am vainly hoping my kids might eat some next time :D

Raita was chopped red onion, mint and salt added to natural yoghurt.

Cauliflower cheese with sweet potato chips and fresh garden peas. Will be serving shortly after midnight for all who arrive. Open house.
