What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I came over all brave and bought a fresh squid at the fishmongers. I have inspected Youtube so now I must be equipped with the skilz needed to prepare and cook the bugger. The plan is to cook it quickly on the griddle pan and have it with a salad and a bit of oil and vinegar. Keeping it simple.
Wish me luck.

If I cock it up and have to chuck it out, it'l be a jam butty for me. With salad. :D
 
I made some sweet chinese flavoured meatballs, dunno what i'll serve them with .... if there are any left as I keep eating 1 everytime I go in the kitchen.

i want a chinese delivery but i don't know any good ones round here.... i normally go for fujiyama when i want noodles but thats japanese :/
 
Summat from the local Vietnamese - possibly frog legs, if I dare
It was:
Ech Xao Ca Ot - frog legs on a light batter fried with chili and lemon grass
Bao Tu Tron Hanh Tay - pork stomach and onion salad
Pho Dac Biet - chicken, rare beef slices and beef brisket served over Vietnamese ho fun noodle soup

FUCK YEAH!!
 
Had more of the veg/king prawn coconut curry with my son last night...then willed myself to make the caponata and squid for tonights dinner so that I could have a piss easy day today (I'm ill)....and we ended up scoffing that, too :D :facepalm: :rolleyes: so I've taken some sea bass fillets out of the freezer to have with asparagus and green beans and something else that might just end up being oven chips.... :hmm:
 
I had frogs legs in France. We bought em in the supermarket, just as you would a big bag of frozen chicken portions or whatever and my friend's boyfriend cooked them for us.
They tasted of *pond* :( :hmm:
 
We have a chicken to cook. Also some decent (jacket size) potatoes and a lot of salad to use up. Not sure of the combination yet but that is the base.
 
We got a Chinese milf for two, was a bit meh. All dishes quite bland, like they'd forgotten to use any spices :(

Got some beef mince and beef steps on the freezer, so I think we'll be having beef, dunno what yet. Curry probably.
