What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Slow roasted pork belly on a bed of onion and pea relish with a crabapple jelly. Was alright but the chips they served won't proper chips - frozen wedges

Had chicken noodle stir fry last night, very nice. Roast dinner today - probably pork, with all the usual stuff. I might make magic custard cake for afters.

What's magic custard cake May Kasahara?

I've just got some ragu going in the slow cooker so tonight's tea will either be spag bol or lasagne, depending on my level of arsedness when the time comes.

Having a roast round me Mum's today so I'd imagine it'll be roast beef, yorkshire pud, roast potatoes, cauli cheese, carrots, parsnips, gravy. Etc. There's usually cake and custard and all manner of other stuff too.

Lamb chops, garlicky stuffing, roast spuds, green beans, broccoli and roasted carrots with lashings of gravy and mint sauce.

We have a chocolate brownie pudding that's been in the freezer for ages, maybe that too as we're both on diets from tomorrow.

It's always ''as from tomorrow'' :D

Roast lamb with a kind of spicy rub, garlic potatoes, broad beans with tomatoes and anchovies. Followed by minces pies (which have been in the freezer since last year) and cream.

had jerk chicken with rice, chutney and coleslaw at Fish Wings & tings in Brixton. It was really good with lots of tamarind - started with saltfish fritters which were divine and served with a kind of coconut, mild sauce, and ginger beer

Couldn't be bothered to do spag bol or lasagne, so the ragu has gone into the freezer and tea tonight was smoked salmon and salad.

A slow cook that's taking a lot longer than expected. So long, the missus has gone off to see a jazz session and left me here to supervise. Actually, I'm secretly happy. I like the jazz but couldn't be arsed to leave the house.

Pork ribs, pigs trotters, carrot, celery, cabbage and potato. Smells good, at least.

I had a yummy (& v cheap) dinner out at local cafe - posh lamb kebab with peppers and onions on skewers with couscous and youghurt with fresh mint and salad. erm...and pitta bread :cool:

We had this http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2837673/pulled-lamb-shoulder-with-sticky-pomegranate-glaze but done in the slow Cooke for 8 hours, with home madeq flat bread, apricot couscous, squash and Harissa hummus, this http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2837670/minty-carrot-pistachio-and-feta-salad but without the pistachio nuts and a minty yoghurt dip thing

Followed by bread and butter pudding made with chocolate cake rather than bread

I doubt I'm going to need to eat for a month
I HAVE TO TRY THAT!

Already had my spag bol

but there lurks in the fridge a chocolate pudding made by my old dear which has scotch bonnet peppers in it. Not the actual peppers. She done some vile witchery using milk and sieves.

It is absolutely fucking banging hot. I haven't been able to manage more than a spoonful. Rich choclatey taste then OMFG WHATS HAPPENING IN MY MOUTH

It's a trap. A choclatey trap. She was half cut when making it so decided to go FULL HEAT with the hotness. Even the dog won't eat it. Ma herself yammed down a bowl of it before throwing it back up. It's like food, but weaponised
