What's for tea tonight? (#8)

That looks stonking ringo - and a fine day indeed for you

We are on wiiine tonight, and a Chinese takeaway. So instead of trying owt new on the menu, we'll probably go for mushroom in green pepper and blackbean sauce, and veggie chow mein again - it is totally fucking lush though

I'm still fucking ill, have zero energy and the Mr is in deepest Somerset until late ish so I think maybe a takeaway.

Curry is probably a good plan to try and rid these germs although I don't eat curries hot enough to do that.

Thai? Don't fancy Chinese. Gah decisions.

Made the stew using some nice herby Lincolnshire sossidge. It also had puy lentils, potato, red wine, red onion, fuck loadsa garlic, rosemary, chilli flakes and smoked paprika.

You just can't argue with a meal like that

I am out on the piss for Orang Utan's birthday tonight, so my tea will probably be crisps and booze. Mr K and the kids can scrobble around for scraps off the kitchen floor.

Me and my sister have just ordered all this: mixed veg in szechuan sauce, egg fried rice, spring roll, sweet and sour chicken, prawns in green pepper with black bean sauce with extra chilli, special ho fun and chilli salt chips.

It's meant to last two nights. :hmm:

Mmm well looking forward to a chinese after reading that :)

Tonight I'm making leek, potato and wild garlic soup for a cosy night in as himself is poorly. I've never used wild garlic (leaves) before.

We did the set special from a newish Indian takeaway.

Onion bhaji, chicken chaat, Bombay potato, pilau rice, chicken bhuna, lamb Ceylon and peshwari nan for 17 quid.

We also ordered an extra nan and veg curry for some stupid reason.
There is shed loads left for breakfast/lunch.

I feel nauseous so told the mr to sort dinner so guess what? We're having nothing.

I really fancy a solitary Onion bhaji.

Roast pork with a sort of roast vegetable mix of whatever was in the fridge - one solitary spud, a few carrots, garlic, onion and a bit of pretty sad looking broccoli with a liberal amount of sage and mustard seeds chucked in. Turned out a whole lot better than I expected, to be right.
And I reckon the vegetables will be nice tomorrow mixed in with some lentils and lemon juice, as a cold saladesque thing to go with slices of the cold pork.

Just made a big pan of chinese take away style chicken curry.

That Eastern Star curry powder is the mutz nutz, shame you can only get it in 10kg catering tins.

Chicken, chorizo & black eyed bean stew.
Served with giant couscous I think.

Stew is already cooked and I'll get on with the couscous when the bloke has finished banging and swearing in the kitchen...
