What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Make slaw with the cabbage, beetroot and carrots (add red onion too and a splash of orange juice in the dressing). Cut up red pepper and celery for dips. Broccoli and Stilton soup?

Like the slaw idea. And was thinking of making broccoli soup, but with a load of lemon rather than cheese or cream.

Would also like some one pot veg ideas where I can just throw a load of the veg in together. Guess I could just make some sort of curry.

My default use-up-the-veg-before-it-dies approach is stir fry <unimaginative>

I kind of hate stir fry, unless it's got loads of interesting stuff in it, I think I lived on it for too long in past years.

I have some tamarind paste, I wonder if I could just cook it all in that and add some rice. But I'm not good at cooking sans recipe.

This. As I made it the child last night while I had tuna healthy shit and sat there jealous at her........mind you the tuna salad was nice, just not as nice as THIS:

That said I'm still not sure about hash browns in burgers.....I'm yet to try it, I always take them out. I'll give it a go tonight though.

Dunno :hmm:
I have no kids today and a dentist app later so prob won't be arsed to cook anything...maybe a boiled egg on toast or something equally untaxing.

Ooh I normally have em in chicken but I dont see why beef wouldn't be nice too. As long as cheese and chilli sauce was involved.

I'm with you on the chicken (since today funnily enough when I first tried it) but beef? Nah man, it's not happening. It's like people who put chicken and beef in the same burger! Sacreliige!

But beef is well fit with potato :D

You love potatoes off mate. They have their place, and that place is NOT in any kind of burger or beef-related sandwich.

In fact, in FACT... Corned beef hash is wrong as well. I bet you'd like that in a sandwich wouldn't you you dirty girl. Yeah. Stodgemiester central. I can almost feel the weighty bolus stuck in my oesophagus right now
