What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I made a vat of minestrone the other day. so that, again. Although I might freeze it.... If so, I'll have spag bol! actually, yeah, fuck it, spag bol! woo!

Dunno. Mum is bringing some food so should be nice :)

ringo I think refried beans are probably the food with the most disproportion between how tasty they look and how tasty they are.
They look like dog food but taste amazeballs ;)

Eating up the contents of the freezer and cupboards: sausages & macaroni cheese with petit pois. Thankfully my friend fed me salad for lunch or I think I might start getting scurvy as I'm not sure the petit pois can defend me on their own.

I've got flatbreads, mushrooms, half a courgette and some cheese.... garlic mushrooms and cheese wrap type things?

It's probably a bit late now but I'll tell you how I would like it any way :D

I would saute the mushrooms and courgette, they spread across the flat bread, grate cheese on top, put in the oven a bit like a pizza :)

I had a big granary bap, lush huge prawns, mayo, black pepper, lemon juice and cucumber. Packet of Pom Bears on the side and a Mr Kippling Almond Slice for pudding :) :) :)

not far off... grated cheese onto the bread, added the shrooms and courgette, closed the bread and melted the cheese using heat of the pan. Wasn't bad, but I really want a full fridge and decent meals.

I'm doing chicken mole for tea with salad and brown rice. I dunno why but I really don't fancy it. I want something bready and cheesy now after reading your post Biddlybee :)

As a student I lived off them, macaroni cheese and dal.

Reckon they're right up there with the dal as the tastiest simple, cheap food you can make. Except ketchup sandwiches.

We had baked spuds with leftover curry and refried beans with the cheese in the middle.

Found some raw beef and pork meatball mixture in the freezer for tonight. Remember the first half being a bit bland so this time will be chucking in loads of black pepper and chopped chillis, then doing them in tomato sauce with spaghetti.

Dophinwaz potatoes in honor of me mason cash square dish i got yesterday fer 99p in red cross charity shop a pork chop wiv cheese on top and sum brocolli. Oh n sum apple sauce ta go wiv it

It's that mexican thing in a sort of spicy chocolate sauce. I don't want it though. :( I want fusilli in a Barilla basil and tomato pasta sauce.

And I just remembered we don't have any chillies.

Mexican?! Spicy chocolate sauce?! Chicken mole? This is a whole new world to me. I need to get with the times. Or with the past. Or something. All I know is burgers and kebabs, the odd bit of steak and that

We're having a pasta bake...tomato and basil sauce, mozzarella and the last of the chicken...with green beans.

Mini creme brulee Magnums for pudding

Well, I've only just had brekky - bit of a late one last night, and nursing a killer hangover! Was not capable of driving or working this morning so I bunked off. Wellll...if Thatch can have a state funeral, I'm gonna take me a bank holiday off after it ;)

Erm. Tea. Possibly a pasta bake if I can be arsed...or maybe just chips n egg :)

Kedgeree, the first meal I've cooked this week that hasn't been underwhelming. My 4yo had four helpings  Lots of melon for pud. Also now that the kids are in bed, I've eaten a tin of Ambrosia rice pudding straight out of the tin

I haven't had kedgeree or rice pudding straight out of the tin for years.
Jealous.

Some mushroom filled tortellini with tomato and basil sauce, spinach and cheese. With a red pepper cheesy flat bread on the side.
