What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Roast lamb, nom fucking nom!

I think I'm going to make some sort of rosemary and redcurrant glaze. Except every bloody shop was out of fresh rosemary yesterday so we may be stuck with dried.

We'll have it with garlicky roast spuds, carrots and onion (cooked in with the lamb), green beans and broccoli.

As it's chocolate sunday, warm chocolate brownie and clotted cream ice cream for pudding.

Maybe wine or beer or rum. I fancy going out and getting shitted but probably won't after all that ^^^^. ; )

Roast lamb here as well, with garlic and rosemary, spring herb crumbs (with anchovy), jabron potatoes (creamy, garlicky, cheesy ones basically!), buttered peas and broad beans, polenta and pancetta stuffing, possibly some carrots too. Oh and a bottle of rioja

Cheese and nice bread to follow. With Belgian beer maybe.

Plus chocolate. Lots and lots of chocolate :D

Stuffing!! I need stuffing. Is every big shop shut today? I don't have instant or ingredients to make it. : (

Your dinner sounds lush. : )

Epic roast tonight for mates coming round. Chicken, roast taters, honey roasted parsnips and carrots, stuffing, runner beans, peas, cauli, mashed butternut squash and sweet potato, lashings of gravy and three puddings: bakewell tart, apple pie or mini egg cake thing.

I've even got some Sauternes to go with pudding if people want.

Roast pork shoulder (I will have to restrain myself from eating it all)
Steamed new spuds
Something fresh and green (if I can find a shop open)

My brother is cooking a massive roast for about 20 of us. Lamb and pork joints amongst many many other things.

I can confirm that there is no fresh rosemary anywhere in my bit of dorset.

It was almost impossible to find unsalted butter too.

I have loads in my window box (rosemary not butter)... but no lamb  and hardly any food, so probably beans on toast tonight or pasta with erm something.

Ooh there might be a portion of bol for spag bol in the freezer :hmm:

Lots of roast lamb for you lot today.

We had tea at the canteen, I had veggies and slivers of beef in sesame and corriander sauce, Egg with tomato, and soya beans cooked with chilli and various spices. With brown rice.

Huge re-working of last nights chicken tika. Almighty rains here today. Peoples homes are flooded, so mattresses are on the living room floor, sofa has been surrendered and I'm chopping a pumpkin, potatoes and onions to make a giant chicken tika curry stew. Loads of bread and rice. Large Mexican salad and bread.

Granada an hour, or so ago. This is grim. That is not just rain water flooding the streets :( A weeks worth of Semana Santa tourism heading towards the sea untreated :D

Lots of roast lamb for you lot today.
Well it is traditional at Easter. I had it too at my sister's. She had prepared it last night with garlic and fresh rosemary from the garden. With roasties, carrots, parsnips. cabbage and leeks. Fresh pineapple for dessert. And I brought a bottle of Prosecco. :)

Finally got around to making the macaroni bleedin cheese :D

It was really good. The baby tomatoes worked a treat.

Feel a bit sick after too much pudding which consisted of red wine and easter egg

I decided to try and emulate the veggies in sesame and coriander sauce from the canteen for tea. It's actually come out really well, which is unusual for my Chinese cooking.

I fried a couple of chilies off and then added aubergine and courgette, lots of chopped garlic and two tablespoons of Chinese curry powder. Fried for about five mins before adding about a tablespoon of dark mushroom soy sauce. Added cherry toms, cabbage and bak choi along with a whole jar of sesame paste. Added chopped coriander just before serving. Brown rice to go with it, as ever.

We ended up having a chinese last night....
Today my bezzer and her civil partner ( :D first time I've called her that :D ) are coming over and bringing nice bread and crisps etc to go with more of the yummy ham and some salady stuff....and I've got a big stack of profiteroles for pudding  (we're going to watch the Bourne trilogy :cool::oops: )

Big meal of the holiday weekend is pulled lamb shoulder with sticky pomegranate glaze, tabbouleh, tahini yoghurt, coleslaw, dry black olives, plum tomatoes.
