What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I messed mine up slightly as I had forgotten the sourdough I had at home was wholemeal so it didn't rise like a souffle like the last one I made, which looked immense. I also realised when I was going to bed that I had forgotten to put the parmesan on the top:facepalm: This is what happens when you invite friends over in the middle of the week in the midsts of a 3 week long sleep strike by the toddler. Sorry, OU! Testament to the recipe that it was still really nice.
I hope he was grateful!

Both of those options sound fucking great to me. In fact I would probably do both.
In the end we had falafel  :D we had opted for the burrito place but they'd run out of the veggie burger that my fella could eat so that plan was abandoned - totally gutted!!!!! ah well... falafel is also good, but just not a burrito - they look soooo goood... maybe we can go tonight *hopeful*

It was delicious, thanks!

Had Thai at my favorite Camden pub, The Old Eagle, last night.

Tonight, I really feel like shepherds pie. But will probably be cottage pie as none of my local shops seem to stock enough lamb mince to go around

I might have Roasted scallops, Jerusalem artichoke, truffled egg yolk, crispy belly pork, wiv a lemon verbena. or then again its probly gonna be me usual crack of Whiskey, Weed, an a giant size bag of Beef monster munch.. Friday innit.

A rice, mango, sweetcorn, sweet potato, pea, coriander, various pulses and bean kind of medley thrown together in a pot with whatever spices there was. It has turned into a stodgy Caribbean biryani type thing because I poured in some jerk spices and pineapple juice. Hope it tastes as good as it smells and doesn't taste how it looks :hmm:

They may give you a discount if they see that you're really keen!

I made the filling for a chicken and asparagus (...and a bit of carrot, to pad it out...) puff pastry pie....but it was supposed to be a great event and I don't feel excited enough for pie....so I put that in the fridge for tomorrow and it's a cheapo chippy dinner tonight.
Raspberry yoghurt for pudding.

Breadcrumbed haddock, rustic chips and peas oven dinner.

Although according to auto correct I'm having breadcrumbed addict Andreas :D

In my local shop (co-op) a normal sized bag of beef Monster Munch was 80p!!!!..

Tonight we are having homemade saag paneer & rice from the cupboard then from out most excellent takeaway kabli chaana, roti and tikka paneer.

I do love my Monster Munch (even collected the tokens for a t-shirt a few years ago) but 80 flaming pence for one small bag. This wasn't even a mega bag.

After a marathon 5KM round trip (walking - 14 Kilo's) to get a full gas bottle, curry is finally on the table.

Anyone who wants a hot shower in the morning has to pay me €5 to get the new gas bottle out of my bedroom.

still well worth it imo. king of chrisps, never disappoint.

Yeah monster munch should have its own thread. Only about beef ones though coz pickled onion ones an flamin hot ones are just plain wrong Av Just spent a good few minutes lickin me fingers clean of them beefy bits that stick on yer fingers, which is best part innit. Cant be doin wiv the weirdos that eat em by lickin em clean an suck on em coz thats wrong anawl Yer better shovin the whole foot in and start chompin.

Having the pie today  with boiled baby potatoes and tenderstem broc.
Am also going to make a vegetable soup for Tuesday (when we'll need to eat fairly quickly) and some jerk marinade for some pork shoulder steaks for tomorrow...plus some lemon frangipane muffins, which BoatieBird reminded me I love :D
