What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Something quick and easy tonight as the bloke wants to get on with some building work in the kitchen.
Pasta, sauce & salad I think.

and the day before, baked beans and pork - cowboy style.

My girlfriend hates beans. I keep telling her that proper baked beans are fucking lovely. Nice and chunky, great texture and lovely with a smokey/spicy bbq sauce. All the better with some slow roasted pork too.

I may just make it one night and if she still doesn't like them, I'll scoff the lot myself :)

Oh yeah!!
I tend to cook it with pork belly (minus the excess fat) and add a few slices of bacon to get the smokiness.
A dash of cayenne pepper, season, beans and oven on low for 3 hours or so.
it's fuckin' delicious.
i also found that using quartered onions and whole garlics much better.

Sounds good, that. Never tried it but would definitely like to.

multimeats multibean chili tonight.

I'm having this, too. What do we reckon about lamb and beef going together in a chilli? I've got some diced lamb and some casserole steak that want eating.

Its market day today an i got sum nice thick slices of ham of da bone and sum oven bottom muffins. Gonna keep it simple so ham an tomato sarnies wiv loadsa salad cream on em and a bag of plain Kettle crisps.

I was meant to be doing a chicken and veg stir fry with rice but I'm tired and fed up and not sure I can be arsed....so, since it's just me and my girl tonight, it might just be beans on toast with a cheese slice. I've got some cream doughnuts coming with my shop, too...so those for pudding.

It tasted great - I ate too much!

I didn't have any stale bread so got a baguette in.

I messed mine up slightly as I had forgotten the sourdough I had at home was wholemeal so it didn't rise like a souffle like the last one I made, which looked immense. I also realised when I was going to bed that I had forgotten to put the parmesan on the top:facepalm: This is what happens when you invite friends over in the middle of the week in the midsts of a 3 week long sleep strike by the toddler. Sorry, OU! Testament to the recipe that it was still really nice.

More of the bollock naked I made last night. Starving. Had a fucking shit day too. So it's a good job there's loads of those brownies left too

Im knackered so prob just something quick and easy like a mushroom fritata or a veg stirfry with noodles. Failing that i'll count my pennies and see if I can justify a delivery meal... Why is there no decent fish n chips in central brixton?!

i've been good tonight (for once). Made a massive batch of leek & potato soup for work lunches, and for dinner, made a massive pot of tomato, chickpea and vegetable stew thing.

Long tubes of pasta with a spicy, bacon and tomato sauce!

I like your like of my pud! I like it to. I love easter and Its edible bounty :D

Well I arsed up filleting the haddock so I had boney haddock pieces - still delicious.

Tip: don't watch youtube videos on how to fillet a fish whilst filleting said fish. It leads to accidents and lots of blood.
