What's for tea tonight? (#8)

am home late. just had an entire bowl of chicken nuggets. was nothing really in the fridge so thought fuck it, get hte nuggets out.

I shall never eat this again

Totally. They could easily be Mr Faggots Brains.

I wouldn't do it yeti :(

Well, I didn't do it. I went and bought fresh mince, pork and beef, mixed it into about 25 meatballs, then froze half and cooked half :)

And then I wasn't feeling too great and the mrs was on the bog all night with a dicky tummy. WTF

It might have been the mouldy pepper that I cut the end off and threw in the sauce (without washing)....oops

I ordered so much Chinese last night that I've not just got enough for tonight it would stretch to tomorrow too. And possibly the night after. Chilli salt chips (the main course, sheo, thanks for asking ), deep-fried crispy beef thingy, chicken in black bean sauce made extra spicy, special fried rice, spring roll, sweet n sour chicken.

I was hungry.

Do you reckon this recipe would work with stout instead? Maybe without the bacon, because I don't have any

I've got half a bottle of guinness that needs using up :hmm:
Same as Tits - can't see why not. Looks nom!

Chips n egg n mushy peas for us tonight, with lashings of bread and butter

Then the leftovers of the rhubarb crumble* me dad gave us, with a nice thick dollop of double cream on top of the steaming hot tart, oh yes

* I've always hated the taste of rhubarb but this is really sweet with the merest hint of tang, and the crumble's GORGEOUS. Lush served red-hot with a big fat fuckoff dollop of extra thick double cream

More veg chilli, brown rice & garlic bread. I made enough chilli for 2 of us for 3 meals though I have frozen 2 portions.

Hurray for only once frozen meatballs, but boo to the wife's dicky tum :(

Ah it was nowhere near as bad as it would have been had I not listened to your sage advice :)

Had meatball and cheese ciabatta for lunch and it was BRILLIANT :)

That looks excellent, though I'm not sure the guinness would work....it's always pork and apple init? Or pork n red wine.....steak is better with stout.

Salted fried ham is probably a tastefully useless but visually similar substitute to bacon :) Or spam? :D

Steak, mushrooms, broccoli, hash browns and a very large glass of wine.
Breaking my rule of no booze midweek cos OFSTED are coming tomorrow. This is apparently something to worry about, so I now have an excuse.

Chicken casserole. Cooked a huge chicken with loads of vegetables. No idea if anyone will accept the invitation.

Stage 2 of 5 stage kitchen decontamination is now complete. We have a clean, functioning oven :)

Completely forgot about the guinness and had sausages, mash and peas :D

Tuesday was an odd mixture but was what I fancied and turned out lovely - grilled lamb steaks, boiled new potatoes in chives, butter and Dijon mustard and a spinach + tomato curry.

Last night just a baked spud as too full from trying to eat the entire buffet at a conference at Chelsea Football Club.

Tonight will be some sort of garlicky chicken with even more of this mountain of new potatoes we have. And possibly something green if there's anything left in the fridge.
