What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Steak, yesterdays boiled spuds fried in bacon fat with savoy cabbage, finely shredded and cooked in butter with onions and mustard seeds. I melted a big lump of blue cheese on the steak too. Just in case there wasn't quite enough saturated fat in my tea.
Cor. It was lovely.

I had nothing at all except beer yesterday  ....then the spag bol, which should have been yesterdays dinner, served up to me for breakfast in bed with a can of coke....fuckin ace

Back home tonight...I'm fucked and I had a Maccy D's on the train :D so just having toast and pate and did egg mayo on toast for the kids and raspberry yoghurt for their pudding.

I had two roast dinners yesterday.

First one was meant to be one of my favorite roasts in London but, to my horror, the pub is closed for some building work. So we had to try an alternative.

When it arrived though, it was a joke. The food was decent, but the portion size was ridiculous. Meat, one and a half roast tatties, 3 bits of carrot, 3 bits of parsnip and a Yorkshire pudding. So all in all for a roast lamb and a roast beef + two pints it was £40

So we went and bought a pork crackling joint and cooked that whilst the football was on :D

So very fucking tired today. Out at fella's gig last night, not in bed til 1.30. I just haven't got the stamina to keep doing this. Need. sleep.

Oh, tea thread.

Err..as the fella had a lie in today, and will almost certainly have a nap too (he's had 3 very late nights, mind), I'm going to get him to make us baked spuds with cheeze n beanz. I will do the kale with toasted pine nuts on top.

The the last of the key lime pie

My mum is going to my house to be there when the boy gets in from school and is cooking us all dinner while she's there.
A gammon joint and roast potatoes have been mentioned, and I know there will be pudding involved too
My mum rocks

Pasta with Quorn Sausage and kidney beans in tomato sauce with onion, garlic, cumin and paprika.

Made by number one son and it turned out well. I'm not sure what to do with myself when someone else is cooking mind.

Oysters, Tabasco sauce
Pork belly and crackling
Steamed asparagus and broccoli
Mashed potato, made properly, unlike the abomination I had at dinner

I made a soup. Onion, celery, mushrooms, watercress, stock, knob of butter and when it was cooked I bunged the stick blender in the saucepan. It was accompanied withtoasted hot buttered Polish rye bread. Then we had a potato salad, salami and tomatoes. It was lovely.

left my purse at work last night - so no dinner last night :( hungry! and having to walk into work this morning!

Ah well - good way to kick-start my diet!
