Had my fennel just sat in the fridge for a week or so waiting for something to try it with. It's not something I buy that often as no-one else in the house likes it.

Potatoes shouldn't be kept in the fridge unless they're cooked...it does summat weird to the starch...hang on I'll find a linkHad to use up the potatoes in fridge before they started sprouting, so made a cottage pie.
We ended up with fresh crusty french stick with lovely happy meat ham with sliced hard boiled eggs, mayo, loads of black pepper and a little rock salt.
It's was surprisingly tasty
