What's for tea tonight? (#8)

A little poussin each for us, marinated with harissa and Moroccan spices, stuffed with preserved lemon and garlic. Even remembered to prepare the birds last night, so it's just a brief spell in the oven and plenty of time to get some cous cous/roasted veg ready.

Fried rice in a pot with chopped veggies (mushrooms, bit of chopped carrot, peas) and kidney beans and loads of jerk spice. Sliced a bit of chili pork sausage at the end for flavour. Lovely . This is my first proper meal I've sat down and cooked in days and days.

since i dumped me statins last night im gonna have ribs, coleslaw and man crisps. washed down wiv copious amounts of cider, and weed. While layout on me bed in me undies watchin old episodes of the old grey whistle test on youtube wiv me headphones on.. bye bye statins<<<<poison..

I had mapo tofu, delicious bean sprouts stir fried with spinach and black pepper and curried cauliflower with other veggies. And I brought my usual tupperware container of brown rice to eat with it.

Frozen meal. :(
Which I am defrosting for 5 hours just sat on the kitchen counter. Not even in the fridge. I will probably die.

We are down to bare bones in the cupboards/fridge but I have a pack of fresh tortellini in the fridge and I will make a sauce to with it.
Fried onion, garlic and then paprika and maybe cumin fried off on top. Tinned toms and tomato paste to reduce down a little.
I can't really think of anything else we have to put in it. :(

Oh we have some parmasan :)

I've made a 'traditional' vindaloo with some pigs cheeks last night so that I can spoon the fat off today to make it healthier. Also it always tastes better the next day eh? Gonna make some roti to go with it, and perhaps some sort of salad and rice. I can't wait to eat it.

Ace. Can't beat proper vindaloo. I'm having cumberland sausages, colcannon, carrots, beans and gravy.

The waitrose recipe of mushroom and pearl barley risotto... With a little Parmesan and rocket leaves.
We have lots of odds and ends of chocolate cakes left for pudding too :)

Lentil cottage pie topped with potato/parsnip mash. Broccoli and gravy on the side. I've hot a real craving for yorkshire pud too...
you can have yorkshire pie and cottage pie on the same plate, right?

Cottage pie is cooking. It's got the following in it:

-leeks
-mushrooms (three types)
-butterbeans
-grated carrot
-lentils
-courgettes

Topped with potato mash. No parsnips :(

I'm going to experiment and make veggie gravy with onion, butter, the remaining mushrooms, stock and a smigden of marmite. And there will be yorkshire puddings
