Is boiled bacon popular now? Do you just throw a big joint of it in a pan for 20 minutes and then cut it up or what?

Quite a bit longer than 20mins but yes.

I boil it in cider or water with veg thrown in the pot and parsley, peppercorns etc.

I could just eat it chunk by chunk but with mash, peas and parsley sauce is lush.

Dunno about fashionable but goes a long way and not to expensive in these austere times.

Some weird, somewhat unpleasant filo spinach/ricotta parcel things from t'supermarket, new spuds, broccoli, cauli, peas. And a perfectly mixed martini with an olive. Swings and roundabouts.

dunno, only me to cook for and i'm tired and starving. also hormonal and indecisive

Went for easy, tasty, filling in the end - wholewheat spaghetti covered in hot chilli pesto with leftover roast chicken, broccoli, sugar snaps and red pepper mixed in.

foamy I love that you have odds and ends of chocolate cakes just hanging around the house :D

Aw god I haven't had a proper martini for ages.
I miss living with Kameron :(

I have a massive bit of leftover roast pork shoulder from Sunday so will get some tortillas, iceberg lettuce, soured cream and cheese for Mexican wraps. Salivating at the thought :)

Need to get something for the the veggie littlun to have in hers - I usually do her a little veggie chilli but I might check out the freezer section at the supermarket to see if there's anything suitable in there, like those quorn fake chicken strips or something. Trouble is they're very bland on their own. Any suggestions from the Urb veggie crew?

I have a little jar of chipotle sauce to try so will do the pork in that with some onion and garlic, if it's not too hot that might do well for the littlun as well?

My mum's coming down and she was talking the other month about how she never really cooks with sweet potatoes, so I'm doing sweet potato wedges to go with some fried strips of chicken, marinated in soy/lime/maple syrup/five spice, asparagus and tenderstem broccoli.
She's bringing pudding....dunno what it is but I'm betting it'll be stodgy  :D

I don't know  It was going to be a tuna and chilli bake but I think I have to stay at work later today so will be going straight off to rehearsal. It might have to be 'bread and catch-it'!

Fresh Haddock, off the boat this morning and bought straight on the harbour wall :D

Will be having it with proper homemade chips, mushy peas, and a big mug of sweet tea or a glass bottle of irn bru. Oh and enough salt to kill you.

GOD I LOVE FISH & CHIPS!!!

Not as much as curry though.
