What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Garlic and rosemary roast chicken with baked potatoes, steamed carrots and runner beans with lashings of gravy.
Apple and home grown* blackberry crumble with custard for pudding.
M&s chocolate mini bites & mini brownies for second pudding :D

* not grown at our home put at my pa-in laws- he overlooks the Gallops of Newmarket racecourse.

OK.
Fried some onion and garlic in olive oil and a little butter, fried off a little cumin, stock, brown rice all simmering down.
I will add chopped bratwurst, parma ham and spinach at the end.
Odd combo I know.
I forgot to wash the rice first though :(

I've just had a look at that. Do you have to go to one of their shops?
Most people probably had their first one at a festival, with mash and peas in a little cardboard carton. We get them from the supermarket, or our local real ale bar does them.

Actually, I've found one on the Heidi, but not on the Pietanic. Is it worth the stamp to send it? :D
Hang on to it, just incase he needs it. I can't remember how close he is to having enough tokens. Although, if there isn't one on the Pietanic, maybe it's already too late. :(

Made up brown rice thingy mix wiv celery, walnuts, apricots, toasted fennel seeds, groundnut oil. Theres loads of it and it tasted alright this mornin so ive took sum fer me lunch anawl. Might do an hard boiled egg later tonight and add that.

It was a Pieminster pie that ruined my Sunday at my first Bearded Theory  I ate one of those with mash and mushy peas and gravy on the Sunday evening and then fell into such a bad food coma I thought I would die of hypothermia if I left the tent :( Missed all Sunday night.

Admittedly, I hadn't eaten or slept from Thursday night but y'know...must be the fucking pie eh? :hmm:

Anyhoo - we were so hungover...okay I was so hungover yesterday that cooking just wasn't happening, so we got a health-giving nutritional takeaway curry

Tonight we dine on more healthy fare :hmm: mozzarella cheeseburgers, chips and salad

Nice quick, easy dinner tonight  ...beans on toast for my daughter and her pal...and butternut squash and spinach soup with garlic bread for me and my boy (he's not massively happy about that :D ).
Vanilla yoghurt and ginger biscuits for pudding.

A veggie stir-fry with noodles. Also doing a pot of veg for Death Metal Magpie which I will liquidise into a warming broth as he has tonsilitis and can barely swallow.
