What's for tea tonight? (#8)

last night i cooked for the first time in ages - vegetable (sweet potato, leeks, carrots, spinach, onion, swede) pie with humous and creme fraiche. it was tasty! so more of that tonight.

I've got some leftover roast lamb from Sunday so I think I'll stir fry it tonight with loads of garlic, chilli & ginger and whatever veg looks like it needs using up.

last night was a one pot rice thing with tomatoes, pepper, chorizo, onion and some leftover slow cooker cooked chicken - bloody lovely it was and pickle loved it too

tonight I was thinking of making a creamy chicken (spot a theme? :D) and ham pasta thing but I left the ham in the freezer and I'm not sure what sauce I could make with the contents of my fridge so this clearly needs more work :D

also depends on what time bees gets back from work because if I'm just cooking for me and pickle I can't be doing with the faff of a cheese sauce

Went to my fave kebab place last night and had a sit down lamb doner. Smothered in garlic and chilli sauce with rice. And baklava to finish.

Tonight, I shall be butchering the chicken leftover from Sunday and making a pasta bake or a stew with it.

We just had wholemeal pasta with home made veggie pasta sauce and a salad. No cheese. I read the nutritional information on our packet of cheddar the other day and now I have Cheese Fear.

Jambalaya is a good easy one pot meal to make with left over roast chicken :)

Hopefully I will have the strength to finally make leek and potato soup that will actually be vegetable soup as there is a broccoli and carrots that need using. With crusty bread and butter.
Fingers crossed or the strength.

I have two strips of pork belly left from Sunday, so I'm going to cut them into chunks and fry them then mix them together with spaghetti, asparagus and home made pesto.

Calories.:oops::D I mean, I knew cheese had calories obviously, but I'd kind of talked myself into the idea that it couldn't be that many, just a bit of grated cheese etc etc.

Oh, them pesky calories :D
I thought you'd read the package and had discovered loads of weird chinese ingredients or something

Anyway, I've seen the photos and you can well afford to eat loads of cheese without worrying about calories.

Ok. Last night I had chips and rice and curry sauce. Stodgemeister city.

Tonight, now that i have a NEW BLENDER! I'm going to attempt the spicy bean soup  Sans coriander. Cos I don't have any.

Only the best imported cheese for us. :D Actually I don't think you can buy Chinese cheese. :hmm:

Oooh! I did not know that. I just found loads online, maybe I'll get some.

Here it is with ham, in jelly. :D :hmm:

So dinner started as a vaguely healthy packet mushroom risotto but then the following happened-

'Ooh, chorizo in the fridge. That would perk it up a bit'

Then 'ooh that crusty loaf would be AMAZING warmed up' Not the whole thing obviously.

So my vaguely healthy meal has become a fat and carb laden behemoth which was lovely but not quite the plan. : D
