What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I ended up having a curry last night so I'll be making the huge vat of chilli for Sunday dinner instead.

The rest of the gram flour thing from last night, potato wedges, optional green beans, optional cajun pointed pepper & spud.

Salmon, carrots and braised red cabbage with red onions. Oh, and sautéed potatoes for ShiftyJunior as he's a growing lad.

Cupbored is nearly bare.....so pasta and sauce with mushy peas and grilled chicken thigh....had just enough to make a bean and chicken salad with giant couscous for lunch tomorrow and porridge and a yogurt I found at the back of the fridge.

I had roast lamb, cabbage, carrots, gravy, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, beetroot and horseradish sauce on the side.

Banoffee pie for pudding!

Probably rice an peas an ting (ie anything else chopped up small and added at more or less the last minute).

Gotta take my daughter to the dentist after school and will need a speedy dinner by the time we get back....so I'm going to do a noodle soup made with some of the leftover chicken, the stock and loads of broccoli, chinese leaf and spring onion. My daughter has already declared this a tooth extraction friendly meal, too :D - although I'm hoping that won't be relevant :hmm:

Tesco had obviously run out of the Weight Watchers cream, so they substituted it with extra thick double cream :D  which meant I didn't have any pudding yesterday :( but I'm going to indulge today  ...so more Eton Mess...maybe with a bit of plain yoghurt mixed into the cream to make it *slightly* healthier :D

Mmmm, those parathas sound lovely.

Nothing planned for tea tonight so I think it'll be pasta with red pesto, olives and anything else I can find in the fridge to chuck in it.

not got a clue for tonight, after a weekend of amazing food I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to cook - I might just do a big spag bol/pasta thing, with a big salad on the side, though that needs me to go to the shops for some bits which probably won't happen

what I fancy is Saturday's beef again, which was amazing, but I have no leftovers :(

We're supposed to be having dauphinoise spuds and roasted broccoli, but we've somewhat pigged out on stuffed olives and manchego, so we may not get that far.

Tartiflette (thanks to OU for tempting me with this cheesy deliciousness!) green salad and baguette.
Not sure I'll squeeze in some pud... Maybe a highlights choc mousse?
It's the best food ever! Not very healthy but sooooo gooood.
Very nice with pickly things btw!
Apparently they eat it in France after a long ski.

I like many "après ski" foods whilst never having been on the slopes :D
The recipe that I used was for "rib sticking tartiflette" :D
I can't remember having Reblochon bscore but I'll certainly be having it again (not least as I saved a piece :D)

I'm going to make a sort of chicken pie with a mash topping...with corn on the cob and broccoli.
Last lot of Eton Mess, too (BOOOOOOO! :( ) with strawbs AND rasps.

Very Tall Lodger is flat sitting for his boss and so I suddenly have a glut of eggs (he has two poached eggs a day). I personally don't like eggs, never have, but I can cook them well apparently. I think the remaining lads might well get an omelette or a quiche or something. A cake might materialise and all.

This lemon tart recipe is good for using up eggs - 4 yolks in the pastry, and 5 whole eggs in the filling
I've made it a few times when our neighbours have shared their egg glut with us.

Spag bol for the menfolk tonight, jacket spud with bolognaise sauce for me.
