What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I would rarely mock someone else's choice of dinner but blimey, what a combo!
Marmite and lettuce is good as is marmite and cucumber = salty and refreshing!

We're having some left over BBQ chicken with a peri peri marinade that I made for lunch.
The last of the brownie for pudding.

Good choice. When I was a kid this - sometimes with cheese, sometimes not - would always cheer me up. Lovely! :)
See if you put cheese in it, it makes more sense.
Every one knows that cheese and Marmite are perfect for each other.
But just Marmite and lettuce.

It works, honestly, marmite and lettuce! There is something about the freshness of the lettuce and sharpness of the marmite that ...well, just works :D

Last night was roast chicken. Tasted great but I must learn to carve a chicken properly; poor chuck looked like it had been run over with a flymo.

The Littlun has passed an edict that macaroni cheese must be eaten every Monday from this point forward. And so it shall be done.

I've got some gammon stock so I could :hmm: make some gravy...but a) it's very salty and b) I'm not sure I can be arsed to do anything except the bare minimum :-|

Did a BBQ last night after the football at mygf's parents place. They have a Turkish supermarket near them so we managed to get some awesome lamb chops, cubed lamb and chicken thighs.

I did the chops with garlic and rosemary, the cubes with chilli flakes, oil, cumin and made a spicy tomato dipping sauce for them. Then the chicken thighs marinaded with garlic, oil and thyme. Came out really well if I do say so myself. I think I've passed the culinary test for her family, especially her dad :)

Tonight, cod poached in parsley sauce and served with green salad.
