What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Sounds nice that, Greebo.
Just something I threw together - literally. VP's in a fair bit of pain at the moment, so it needed to be something with strong flavours and easy to face.

Moroccan meatballs in a lovely spicy sauce - with rice cos tesco didn't have ANY fucking couscous. Not even the packets of flavoured stuff

Easy dinner as the mr has been decorating all day and I have loads of work to do.

Steak pie, roast spuds, carrots and green beans with lashings of gravy. Easy because the pie is shop bought.

Dunno what I'm doing for supper as we had quite a big lunch. It was delicious considering it was all out of packets...macaroni, a Sainsbury's tub of pasta sauce (crème fraîche and black pepper) and Sainsbury's Basics smoked salmon trimmings (great for this sort of thing as it's minced into little bits) plus chopped fresh parsley.

Roast Beef, some kind of suffolk cheesy dumplings (in the place of yorkshires), rosat spuds, cauliflower cheese, peas and stuffing. Then coconut and vodka ice cream. And wine, lots of wine.

Last night was burgers, salad, cous cous & houmous with olive oil & sweet smoked paprika.

Marcella Hasan ragu sauce now gently reducing for tonight's spaghetti bolognese.

Leek and cauliflower cheesy pasta bake.
Didn't this have an excellent name last time?

We're on Greek lamb and orzo stew with green beans and carrots.
Ben and jerry's "core" ice cream for pud.
Not the dinner I should have had- leg of lamb and highest cake cos my party got cancelled :(

I had a ready meal from Morrisons veggie section which has been totally re-vamped. Mine was also from the tramps buffet...IIRC for £1.79 down from £2.99 I had giant fusili pasta, artichokes, feta cheese, peppers, black olives in a chilli tomato sauce. In came in OMG WTF 2 tier system but reading the instructions got me to my dinner. In the end it was OK but I won't be rushing back for more.

Now I heard they were also selling shots of beetroot juice so i went on a search but didn't find any but did find a huge tray of roasting veggies for £1 and paprika & garlic butter new potatoes for £1 so I'm one or both of them tomorrow with black lentil fritters (homemade) with raita & salad.

More Moroccan meatballs and rice for me and our lass, and a freezer-foraged quorn chicken stew (possibly with rice if not enough) for the fella. And a bottle of half price Rioja to aid the tell-me-all-about-it Cromer trip story
