What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Unsure at the moment but likely to be a Tarka Dal/Dahl/Daal/Dhal with some rotis.

If not the Tarka Dal/Dahl/Daal/Dha the we have two huge Portobello mushrooms to do something with.

may try my first attempt at some sort of macaroni cheese thing, having made cheese sauce properly recently... but am also a bit hunover so might order pizza :D

Well I believe that when it comes to pizza loving, sheer greed is the exact measure that should be used!

A single gluttonous meal of Domino's (not high on the pizza chart) does not make one a pizza aficionado.

I think we will give tarka dahl another go again tonight, yellow split peas this time after the one with green lentils failed the other night :(

hehe i was kidding (although I do actually enjoy a pizza express!). To be honest... give me any pizza I'll wolf it down :D what's your pizza of choice?

It is a tough one.

No BBQ sauce, sweetcorn or pineapple is mandatory. I don't go for prawns or anchovies but that is personal taste.

In Brixton Franco Manca is my first choice eat in. I have found a fair few pubs around the UK that do a decent pizza. Don't bother with Pizza Hut any more but will on rare greedy occasion have a buffet.

Delivery pizza is something I try to rotate. Firezza is a fine local establishment, Pizza GoGo I have a soft spot for and on occasion Pizza Ring. Our most local is Oregano on Tulse Hill which is very good too.

I am trying to do homemade only for this year to save £s and get practiced with the new pizza stone.

Suppose that as I spent about 5 years making pizzas and during that time ate about 5 a week. Since then I reckon around 1-2 a week for 16 years. Busiest week at one takeaway place we turned out over 1000 in 84 hours. You could say I have my finger in the sauce ;)

I'm on seconds of the chicken Madras. Our lass is on firsts, as she, very appropriately, went the pub and got lashed and then came back here with mates and a chick to get more lashed, and didn't end up eating anything all day :D

But first - SHIRAZ!

What do you mean 'we' will have another go?

Demi baguettes, grilled field mushrooms, salad of watercress, cherry tomatoes, green olives, white cabbage, carrot, and bean spouts, dressed with red balsamic vinegar (white balsamic vinegar also exists), EV olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and herbes de provence.

That sounds a lot poncier than it actually was.
