What's for tea tonight? (#8)

yeh i noticed afterwards you said it was fresh pasta. i wonder if dried pasta (then cooked) freezes.

i had jerk sausages with rice and peas, roasted yellow peppers, and salad on the side with lettuce, sunblush tomatoes and rapeseed oil. Dessert was peach yoghurt (roasted pecans added), and a cup of spiced tea.
Got a shallow baking tray you can fit in your freezer? Tip the pasta onto that, in a single layer. Freeze until hard. Remove from the freezer and bag or box the pasta.

last night we went for ethiopian food and it was immensely delicious and oh so filling... finished with a lovely clove-scented ethiopian coffee and a nice (free) shot of grappa!

More econodrive...tonight we are all on different meals foraged from the freezer. We have Egyptian lentil soup (daughter), quorn chilli (fella) and some kind of quorn chicken in cream/white wine sauce (moi). And no booze, cos we're fucking well cutting that out mid-week too. Bollocks.

Sweet chilli chicken kebab thingys, curly fries and corn on the cob.

Then kellys honeycomb ice cream because it was 2 quid in waitrose.

Linguine with tomato sauce, avocado salad. Raspberries and ice cream with a drizzle of rose syrup (get me!)

I gave some mince the Indian treatment last night, but now I'm thinking of adding tomatoes & red kidney beans and using some of the taco shells.

Having unforgivably lost the ability to create veggie delights at will since going over to the dark side I've had to resort to searching this thread for my previous veggie dinners for inspiration

So far the contenders are huevos rancheros, spanish omelette, lentil and veg shepherds pie, colcannon, piperade, something using the Morbier or French blue I forget the name of I bought at the weekend.

Blimey, I could everything on the list. probably huevos rancheros.

Off out twatting about on a stage tonight, so sommat quick. On the list: cheese omelette (possibly with couscous as I believe I have some in the cupboard), fried eggz and beanz and toast, cheese and onion butties

Course, going out being a poet and all, means that I have to go the pub, cos it's being held in a pub, and it would just be wrong and possibly bad manners to not drink, so I'm going to force a few Staropramens down me neck :hmm: for etiquette's sake.

Dunno, hmmmm

Haven't got anything out of the freezer and I haven't really had any inspiration so something easy. Maybe pasta and sauce or macaroni cheese.

We have some bacon which we were going to have for lunch but could have that with mac cheese for dinner.

How exciting was that post eh? : D

Haha, exactly the same thing has happened to me! Too lazy to search the thread though, I have been pawing through my Good Housekeeping veggie cookbook instead.

To complicate matters I have remembered we have some bolognese in the fridge that needs eating so now we're considering a pasta bol bake thingy.

I will therefore cook the bacon and have it for breakfast/lunch tomorrow.
