What's for tea tonight? (#8)

we had smoked peppered makerel in a lime marinade fried up and served on top of some stirfried pepper, courgette, chilli, onions, ginger, various asian spices and a slug of soy. We also had gridded chicory on the side. Yummy.

OK, we have run out of Soy Sauce and have nothing similar (no fish sauce or anything).
We have onion, garlic, pork, straight to wok noodles, spinach, some left over veggies.
Chilli oil, grapeseed oil and maybe some others.
Is there any thing I can do to make up for the lack of soy or do you think it will be fine as it is with out?

Did this with fish sauce for flavour.
It looked and smelled lovely, it was full of fresh nice ingredients but was just a bit meh.... :(

last we went out for pizza in Berlin at a very highly recommended restaurant and it was delicious! Badgers - Mine had onion, artichoke and sweet peppers on it, but they forgot the extra mushrooms that I requested :( my friend had cherry tomato sauce, aubergine and buffallo mozzerella on hers.

Last night was leftover roast chicken in a korma with some peppers and red onion, it wasn't very korma-y tbh.

I have some feta to use up so maybe a feta and red onion frittata?

Shame about the mushrooms. Wifey often goes for double mushrooms and rarely gets the real double. Good to here the pizza was good regardless :)

Tonight I have some couscous, half a large onion, various herbs and spices. Need to add some bulk to that but that is the main ingredients of dinner.

Full on econodrive now so using everything that's in the cupboards. Pesto pasta with a good sprinkling of mature cheddar over it for extra oomph

I made some mushroom, chickpea and spinach curry yesterday to use up the sad looking mushrooms that were lurking in the bottom of the fridge. So I'll be having some of that with a naan bread.

i wish i had a cook. And a maid. i have a tin of tuna, a sweet potato, an onion and a lot of cabbage. And no clean clothes
Wow - can't wait :(

Sausage, onion and mushroom gravy, roast carrots, broccoli and potatoes for me. Same but with veggie sausages for my BF.
I would eat gravy-based meals every day if I could.
Still haven't found a chippy that will do chips'n'gravy properly in London.

we had hot wings, hot because they are covered with sauce what i bought off ebay, my lips are now numb. brilliant.

I loooooveeeee chips and gravy!!
Want now!

One day I will save the leftover gravy and dripping from a roast and combine it with chip shop chips to make an orgy of tasteful loveliness

...that day will not be today :(

Had last night's curry leftovers. Adequate. I did not do quinoa, though. I might abandon this as a separate item as it never dries out so I tend to serve it as blobs of semi-congealed paste. Friends have complained.

It does if the packet says so.

yeh i noticed afterwards you said it was fresh pasta. i wonder if dried pasta (then cooked) freezes.

i had jerk sausages with rice and peas, roasted yellow peppers, and salad on the side with lettuce, sunblush tomatoes and rapeseed oil. Dessert was peach yoghurt (roasted pecans added), and a cup of spiced tea.
