What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Mmmmmm tartiflette... I made one for the first time a few weeks back, and made this face quite a lot

Garlic bread fail here :( put too much salt in when I was smashing the garlic up.

Oh that's so depressing when that happens, isn't it. My dad was making latkes once and the lid of the salt fell off. Cue half the bloody stuff falling into the mix. He then burnt them, and then tried to serve them up, despite the fact you just crunched away on lumps of salt. :( Suffice it to say, he ended up getting me a Chinese. :D

Well it wasn't that bad :D but I really hate putting effort into stuff that goes wrong (especially if it's my own fault). I even chopped up parsley for the butter

my dinner last night was lovely..my bf cooked, I was drunk,I ate it all and fell asleep...:)

no idea about tonight...will see what I have and what can be made...payday is Wednesday..:hmm:

OMG sheo - have you ever done the Ottolenghi broccoli with chilli & garlic? my boyf did it at the weekend and it's a bit of a faff, but it was seriously the most delicious broccoli that I've ever eaten!

it's this one fwiw

That looks absolutely lush. I don't have a griddle pan unfortunately, but I might just do it anyway in the frying pan.

Oooh - that DOES look good :D AND I DO like anchovies, too (and have a tin in the cupboard)! :D

Maybe just a GREAT BIG BOWL of that, then!

I think we're having fish cakes with mash and green beans tonight. Feel like we should be having something a bit lighter but it's soft and mushy which is good for the boy atm as he had his wisdom teeth out on Sat.

We had mackerel, ful gnaoua, couscous and a mashed African root vegetable a friend gave me but I haven't identified yet.

Chippy tea tonight.

My dinner didn't quite go to plan :hmm: cos I got stuck into the garden and then into some post gardening beers, so I ended up having a chicken/mustard/mayo/cucumber sandwich, which is exactly what I'd had for breakfast :D ....and is more or less what I just had for today's breakfast, too  (cucumber was finished so I had cress and red onion instead)...and I'm doing more gardening today and still have enough chicken left for one more sandwich, so I've taken another couple of slices of bread out of the freezer.....predicting that it's almost inevitable that that's going to be TODAY'S dinner, too

I've also got a little bit of apple pie and some custard left over from Sunday, so I might have that, too (if I can be arsed to heat up the custard  )

what about the poor broccoli Sheo...is that getting palmed off on the guinea pigs?

Last night I went for the Waitrose £10 meal deal which I'm going to grumble about...veggies get less choice and less of a 'oooh bargain'.. but I got a bottle of red wine, 2 Gu lemon cheesecakes, a spinach and ricotta canelloni and a side salad & dressing. Only have the wine left.

Tonight it's jacket potato with lots of salad and something...???...this will not be cheese& beans or chilli sauce & mayo.
