What's for tea tonight? (#8)

You'll be missing out. One of the tastiest things ever
If someone gave me a bone marrow burger and just said it was a normal burger I'd be ok but knowing it had bone marrow in it would put me off. It makes me shudder just thinking about it. Things from inside bones

Have massaman paste and two small aubergines, and some chickpeas on the soak. Just need another aubergine and some coconut milk for a stonking curry tonight. Think I might push the boat out and get some jasmine rice while I'm at it

I've got the kids back tonight and I've taken some chicken breasts out of the freezer but I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them :hmm:
Maybe do them in a tarragon sauce with some rice or something. :hmm:

that works lovely on a roast chicken with new potatoes dotted round it :)

Well, if the fella ever turns carnivore, I shall remember that :D Tbf, I made it with chicken when me and our lass had it last time and it was lovely. But I ain't cooking two meals and I like the veggies, so veggie it is :D

Salmon and asparagus quiche with salad potatoes, chantenay carrots and broc or peas?
Roasted orange and honey rhubarb with yoghurt for pud :D

think it's sausage pasta.

I actually cooked earlier in the week (Chem has been ill). Not particularly exciting (pasta, with tomato, chorizo, bacon sauce) but it's nice that I've not forgotten how to use the hob. :hmm:

Dunno. A lasagne made by Turkish friends.

:D

I've taken some pork and apple sausages out of the freezer but we've got nothing to go with em especially well so we're having an odd dinner with those, some garlic bread :D and I'm going to do crusty's chargrilled broccoli, too (minus the chilli for them). Nectarines for pudding.

Well that curry was fucking vile. The coconut milk was like cream, and tasted fucking horrible with the aubergines :(

Might just have chips n egg n mushy peas for tea tonight

Last night I did a sort of carbonara (pasta, chopped bacon, garlic, mushrooms, petits pois, chipotle chilli, creamy cheesy sauce). I usually do pasta because it's easy for the two ravenous shift workers chez Magpie to whack it in the microwave when they get home in the early hours.

Yesterday, son made apple and chilli burgers which we cooked on the barbeque and ate with salad, stuffed chillis & olives & pickles and fresh rolls. Son's girlfriend, and neighbour and her son were very impressed with the recipe :)

^ sounds good ringo

Changed me mind, really fancy some meat, so am gonna go get some good saussies from t'butchers int village, get some Cauldron jobbies for the fella, and have with fried eggs and muffins

Some chicken and potato hash thingy that I got from Ikea :hmm:
Straight from the freezer into the pan and heat for 10 minutes or so.
Served with broc and carrots.
