What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I had half a ciabatta left over from Monday so I made a kind of "breakfast" sandwich for dinner.

Chopped up some Cumberland sausages and cooked them, sautéed some mushrooms and garlic and then used a couple of whisked eggs to bind it all together. Grated some cheese over the top and grilled it for a couple of minutes. Served on olive oil coated ciabatta, rocket and a dash of black pepper and ketchup. Was lovely :)

Yesterday: Panfried seabass fillets cooked in garlic, butter and lemon with new potatoes and brocoli. HEALTH.

Tonight: Lamb meatball wraps with spicy yoghurt sauce and couscous all mixed up with courgette, chickpea and corriander. Mango5 and Golightly are in for a treat!

You know the rules Sheo ... broccoli & jacket potato (never mind salad) do not share a plate...as it is my arm has been twisted by cheese & onion cob, chips & pint of Thatchers in my local.

^ sounds good ringo

Changed me mind, really fancy some meat, so am gonna go get some good saussies from t'butchers int village, get some Cauldron jobbies for the fella, and have with fried eggs and muffins
No fuckin decent flavour saussies

Sooo...plan fucking Z it is then! A rare thing for me to buy these days, got me and our lass a lickle chicken which I shall roast later, got the fella some quorn chicken 'fillets', and we'll that that with baby spuds tossed in pesto, and a nice salad

A bag of raw spinach and a bottle of Old Rosie. I probably would be a lot thinner if I didn't keep trying to apply Newton's laws of motion to my diet.

Ended up getting frozen chips on the way home to go with the chicken - good old fashioned chicken n chips - fuck me it was delish

Toneet, will get some mayo and make a potato salad, I'll finish off the chicken, and will make fella veggie saussies to go with his.

Not sure whether veggie saussies will really go with potato salad though. Maybe I'll get him a quiche or sommat instead

Fuck knows...I'm having trouble deciding recently
I took a chicken breast out of the freezer to do a chicken and veg stir fry with rice...but I don't fancy it now  (although that might be cos I've just eaten half a baguette with cheddar/pickle and cambozola :hmm: ).

I've got my post baby cooking mojo back but haven't quite mustered the brain power to be adventurous with new recipes so I'm reverting to the old favourites-
Last night- chicken and vegetable store fry with a sticky soy and Orange sauce with noodles
Tonight- salmon baked in parcels with lemon, butter and parsley with potatoes and steamed carrots and green beans.

M&S tenner deal for us tonight.
Gammon joint with parsley sauce, potato leek & gruyere bake, steamed broccoli and carrots.
Chocolate trifle for pud.
Washed down with a couple of glasses of rose fizz.

Missed dinner (one of those days) so an early tea of wholemeal pitta breads, creme fraiche, cucumber, mint sauce, watercress and beefburgers.

Chippy tea. Massive great slab of haddock with chips and mushy peas. Must say it was absolutely fandabidozi. I am as full as an egg.

roast chicken, roast spuds, yorkshires, carrots, broccoli, kale, gravy.

i have just had impromptu pudding of Hobnobs dipped in double cream and a bowl-lick of the white chocolate cheesecake i'm making for tomorrow. washed down with ale, for medicinal purposes.

We're not able to go out for a meal like we were supposed to cos my daughter's ill, so I'm doing what was supposed to be this mornings breakfast for dinner....toast, bacon, scrambled eggs and fried mushrooms. NO BROCCOLI
*catches moonsi as she falls*

Lamb (should be goat but couldn't source any in Sainsburys Maidenhead!) Curry with Chickpea, Tomato and Spinach side dish plus chapattis

We'd decided on M&S chilli tortillas with nacho cheese dip but the shop didn't have nacho cheese dip so Chemistry is going to wander to a further shop and if they have none I'm having fish and chips. :premenstrual:
