What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Chicken, ribs and corn on the cob.

We're feeling lazy so we're trying out those so juicy things. Might be shite but if it's nice that's a dirt cheap dinner.

I will report back...

i bought a pizza mix from Sainsburys today, so will be making that later, with homemade topping. Pizza delivery does sound very appealing though :( But kind of rubbish if you live on your own.

I've got a couple of chicken thighs (if they're still ok) and some chorizo so I'm going to do chicken, bacon and chorizo stew with walnut bread.

The chicken was a bit dodge. I won't risk it with chicken.

So, it's chorizo and bacon stew. It smells lush

I put so much salt in it we'll probably both be dead of kidney failure by the morning.

Saves arguing about the dishes though.

I had mixed kebab to Chef Antonios special recipe (out of the "Chiefs" section of the menu). with chips. and lots of wine.
I'm now considering ice cream (pistachio).

parmesan chicken - breasts with salt and pepper, basil, thyme, cilantro, rosemary, olive oil, some kind of italian bread crumbs, and parmesan cheese.

shit I forgot the lemon juice.

Something with one shallot, a sweet potato, half a celeriac and two mushrooms :hmm:

Doesn't quite fit with lowering refined carbs, but that could make risotto eh?

sounds pretty perfect for risotto. also stew, maybe with some lentils or beans (or meat, I suppose, if you must)

Or a gratin type thing? Or soup?

I've already eaten the rest of the chinese. And then I had a Cornetto.
Toast later then, if I can fit anything else in.

Just about to do next weeks food plan - after the last couple of days - plus the millions of Hula Hoops consumed last week, I'm going to try and have an extra healthy week this week! :D

Beef Rendang from Rick Stein's Far East Cookbook, currently bubbling on the stove, with cucumber salad and home-made naan. Never made the latter before so we have some poppadoms on emergency standby :D

It was going to be something with chicken pieces, but they didn't thaw in time, so pancakes instead.
