What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Have a good time in Porto. I loved living there.

Avoid Praça de Ribiera if you can. Some of the cafes will put prices up if you're an obvious tourist. If you're there, facing the river, wander along to the right. There's some good locals bars there.

And, of course, Matosinhos for the fish restaurants.
It’s a flying visit for Yayoi Kusama exhibition at the amazing Serralves gallery. We’ve got fancy Japanese booked for Sunday night and Vietnamese for Sunday lunch..

We stayed in Matosinhos for a month 5 years ago and didn’t really like it, the fish market isn’t as good as ours here in Olhao :) fish restaurants are no go with the vegan husband…

We're both here on a Sunday evening for a change (although still gutted that we had to cancel our trip to Margate due to inclement weather forecast for Kent).

So a comforting roast-type dinner.

I'll do a chicken leg for myself, and a tuna steak for N.
Roasties, stuffing balls, cabbage, carrots, N wants some mash too with his cabbage and carrots in it like some kind of supercharged colcannon (his tuna steak is tiny so making up for it with double potatoes!). Peas for me, spinach for him. Gravy.
Glass of Cabernet Sauvignon.
