Melting middle fishcakes, sweet potato fries and smug runner beans, surely the last. There are a few still on the vine but they're looking a bit ropey.

Beef casserole with masses of vegetables included , plus dumplings. Weather for it.

Adds beef shin to shopping list - it's certainly got to that time of year!

I made a fucking amazing vegetable curry, so had that with rice Cold wet evening comfort food.

Pork and apple sausages and caramelised onions as toad in the hole. There were six sausages so I should have done a 3 egg batter but did a two egg. But the batter was light and crispy so not too bad. Baby greens and sugar snap peas with it, plus vegetable gravy and Dijon mustard. We ate the lot!

Shepherd's pie - from freezer foraged lamb mixture, so a nice easy one for a Friday night.
Steamed sprouts and carrots to go with it.

Liver bacon onion casserole with tatties and beans. i have just put it on so should be ready for aboot 5:00 pm. Aroma is good. Original plan was to use slow cooker but i forgot, so its an oven top thing.

I was going to make chilli, but I've gone more or less nocturnal atm - I will still make chilli (meat for me, quorn mince & beans for OH) but it will be at more like breakfast time for some of you, but teatime for us on our current schedule.

We're having chicken dhansak and rice tonight. I brought the chilli plant indoors hoping to over winter it - it still has some tiny chillis growing, we might add those.

Fancying just wholewheat spaghetti tossed in evoo/chilli/garlic with black olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Lathered in parmesan.

Fruitcake and decaff coffee for afters. Then a mint aero, possibly some caramel too cos I am losing weight unintentionally again lately and freezing as a result, so it's essential I counter that
