What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Egyptian lentil soup with homebaked wholemeal eight seed bread.

Last tiny sliver of chocolate olive oil cake, with a few scoops of vanilla ice cream and pureed brandy blackberries. Possibly some crushed hazelnuts too.

Something fairly easy that uses up the mushrooms that need using up - am leaning towards one pot mushroom and bacon rice.

The same ingredients as yesterday arranged differently. Rice noodles, stir fried pak choi and courgettes, crispy tofu with sweet chilli sauce and cashews.

If I ever moan on this thread about not knowing what to cook please remind me to do a stir fry.

That sounds lovely!

It was very nice. If I'd thought about it in advance I'd have made my own sweet chilli sauce.

I'm liking rice noodles at the moment. Easier to cook than rice, quicker and built in portion control.

Aye just soak the things in hot water then drain and toss with the other ingredients and sauce when they're nearly done - super quick and easy.
I usually keep some - not necessarily rice noodles but thin ones - in the cupboard for those sorts of meals :)

Baked potatoes with butter plus everyone's accompaniments of choice.

Me: home made coleslaw, cheese, maybe some roast cauliflower on the side.

Mr K: veggie sausages, coleslaw, roast cauliflower if I make it.

Son: southern fried breaded chicken, salad.

Daughter: hot dog sausages, baked beans, cheese.
