What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I bought a couple of meal deals frm M&S yesterday. They're such a bargain  Last night I had a goats cheese and basil pesto puff with wedges and there's more than enough of that left for me and smallgirl's lunch. Tonight I've got a whole chicken and some roasted mediterannean veg. I had one of the raspberry pannacottas last night and I'll have the other one tonight, leaving the apricot slice thingies for tomorrow  All that and two bottles of wine for twenty quid.

Take away curry at the in laws, I'm having mushroom, pea and paneer madras.

My Mrs' Auntie is going and insisting on using bhaji's, samsosas and naan bread from the supermarket and boiling rice herself:rolleyes:

My mum used to do that :D  (tbf, we were hard up enough that her caution with money re that sort of thing was really what allowed us to have the odd takeaway in the first place  - we also used to go out to restaurants a fair bit, but we'd just have very SENSIBLE sized meals, rather than GREEDY FEASTS! :D )

A few weeks ago we had takeaway pizza express but we were a bit skint so I bought Salad etc from tesco. : o

We're having chilli beef burger with onion rings. Tomorrow we will have vegetables as we've had crap the last few night.

Korma postponed until tomorrow, due to incredibly bad timing, rice an ting tonight.

Piri piri chicken, corn on the cob and some home made chips. Made somehow more virtuous because the piri piris are from the balcony and the potatoes from the allotment, or at least that's what I'm telling myself.

a massive BBQ at moomoo's - we'd arranged a surprise for her  - so we had beef satay skewers, chicken kebabs, buffalo wings, burgers, snags, indian potato salad, homemade salsa (Mrs Magpies no less), hummous, blue cheese dip and satay sauce with a rocket and feta salad and coleslaw

I loved doing it :D it's the first big feast thing that I've done since I was 6 months pregnant and it was great

Tonight I made pizzas on flat breads- one was vegetables and gorgonzola, the other was chilli beef. A good result considering It was all scraped together as I'd forgotten yo cater for this eve.

Last night I made (jamies 30 minute meals) piri piri chicken and peppers with corn on the cob, homemade lemony coleslaw and rice and peas then for pudding raspberry and lemon cheesecakes. It was blinding :D

Well the father in law was paying and he's always been one for throwing his money around so it was just his sister taking over as she tends to do. It was nice curry but myself and Mrs are veggies and between the other 5 they had 6 main meals. When they started to fill up they started just picking the meat out so in the end there were 2 full containers of sauce/veg wasted!

Aaaaaaaaaaah...that's like a childhood dream for me, Chip Barm!!! :( :D

I had a chinese in the end last night - wonton soup, spring roll and salt and chilli ribs - so will have the jerk chicken etc today.

We're meant to be having a few mates round for a barbeque but the weather might have a say in whether this happens or not ...

i let loose in m&s food hall yesterday, so i have a fridge full of goodies, but i can't remember for the life of me what i got for tonight :hmm:

Luckily we managed to escape before talk turned to politics.

I cut the gas pipe to our cooker on Friday so had to get it capped off and got the camping stove out. Along with the microwave, toaster, breville and rice cooker we'll have to be getting creative with the cooking ideas for a few weeks.
