What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Got some sirloin steak in the tramps buffet so that with grilled mushrooms, peas, green beans and chips. I'm well grumpy because I'm ill so hopefully this will cheer me up. : )

I enjoy boar but eat rarely like venison or other game meats. I think last time was wild boar sausages cooked in red wine, shallots and other such finery.

Yup, expensive, but worth it as an excuse to get all medieval. I nearly invaded France.

Chicken pies - they've got a bit of veg in so it's almost a balanced meal.

And I could rationalise for England.

I had two pepper steak burgers in wholemeal baps and a big pile of chips. As a nod towards a healthy lifestyle I accompanied it all with one solitary tomato.

I'm not sure what to have....arrgh!

I want to go the shops and get it too as I'm hungry....dammit... :(

I'm feeling something from the freezer section with brown sauce though, been far too healthy recently.

That steak was lovely, especially as it was £2.50. : )

We had meringues, cream and strawbs too. : o

In true rewriting from holiday style i've got nothing in. So he had noodles and i've been making butternut squash soup. It better be nice as I'm fucking starving.

Fake chicken 'southern' breaded fillets, moar raw spinach, moar fruit jouice - seeing as I have a cold I didn't want to go too unhealthy! (Also I missed the shop that does the small packets of potato waffles and I don't have a freezer)

We had chinese style pork done in the slow cooker with spring onion, carrots, aubergine and mushrooms and some star anise and soy sauce and whatnot.....rice and broccoli on the side. Was SOOOOOO nice to have some proper veg after days of fish and chips and ice creams etc! :D

Going to make some tomato sauce with a load of garden tomatoes today and do some of that with spaghetti for the kids and have rice and coconut dhal myself. Back on the Eton Mess for pudding. :D

Lsat night I made beef fajitas to use up the jars of guacamole (horrid), sour cream, salsa and pack of tortillas which I opened last week for the chicken fajitas.

The boy has taken to giving me Michael winner style critique on every dinner I produce so I shut him up with some mintylicious ice-cream for pud :D

Either roasted field mushrooms and garlic, with mushroom couscous, baby corn and mange tout, OR mozzarella cheeseburgers with chups and salad

Sausages, chips and some type of veg.

I've now remembered that our gas was turned off this morning, hopefully the man will be back to turn me on again later.
If he does then the veg will be runner and french beans from the garden, if he doesn't then the veg won't happen.

Still eating my vat of chilli every night. My folks have come down to see me today though, so I might mix it up a bit by going out for a curry. :)

Picked up a bargain gammon joint that's in the freezer, and I'm looking forward to thawing that once I've eaten my way through the ~2kgs of chilli.
