What's for tea tonight? (#8)

We've been through a load of the new kind lately and have settled on Linda McCartney's being the ones we prefer. I mean I like them - don't get me wrong - but I'm not vegetarian and when I've had a meat burger again, well, the veggie ones just aren't meat are they? (obviously!)
There's two types of Linda Mc ones - I like both, but prefer the mozzarella ones.

Been eating veggie for so long now that eating a meat burger feels dirty to me. I have chicken sometimes, and fish, but red meat turns my stomach.

I can't decide what to have for tea tonight - it's a toss up between baked spudz/cheez/beanz with hot sauce, and sauté potatoes with fine green beans and toasted cashews in a madras sauce, with brown rice and sour cream.

Profiteroles for afters, either way.

I like both the mozzarella ones and the plain ones as well and I will certainly eat them again as they are nice but....I'm back on the meat ones for now :)

defrosted leftover not-chicken-chasseur (too saucy and not tomatoey enough) with defrosted leftover basmati rice. And then the freezer has some space to breathe again

Leftover enchiladas for Mrs C.

Last night was chilli from the freezer.
Today, I don’t know. I’m not feeling well but I think this is stress/worry as we’re waiting for a big announcement at work.

I’m tempted to order junk but actually I’m craving vegetables.
A few weeks ago I did a thing with cubed potatoes baked with jarred peppers in oil. So easy.

I quite fancy that with a grilled chicken breast and some broccoli. I’ll have to see if Mr Looby is up for shopping and cooking because I’m definitely not!

Simple oven fish and chips with beans (thought I had peas at home)
Sauvignon Blanc - bottle opened and hoping not to finish before meal heated
Dessert - probably a Twirl bar and Earl Grey tea
Lazy night in and will watch the football (accompanied with a cheeky can or two)

We’ve ordered junk  I’m too tired to faff but I’m definitely doing the chicken tomorrow.

Today is something and chips day. So small one is having flipper dippers, Alphabites and peas. Himself wants to try the beer battered haddock I got from Aldi finest range, with chips and mushy peas, I am stuck between wanting a spicy tempura prawn wrap and sweet potato fries or buffalo chicken thighs, fries and corn on the Cobb.

Roast dinner tonight. Usual spread (we are creatures of habit). 8” pigs in blankets, roast pots, parsnips, carrots and onions. Yorkshires and gravy.
