What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Sausages, buttery mash, carrots, broccoli, peas, gravy from scratch, fried onions for himself. I am tempted to make a small portion of batter pudding just for myself as I have been craving it. My family are wronguns, as neither Himself or the small like yorkies as much as I do, so no point in making lots.🤬🤬

Live a little and make yourself some yorkies - they freeze well so you can cook a load and just bung the ones you don't need right now in the freezer (once they are cooked and have cooled)- reheat frozen ones at a future date when needed for 4 or 5 minutes on 220C
 
My other tip for today is that you can make sage & onion or other veggie stuffing mix from a packet, form it into balls and put them on baking parchment on a baking tray in the freezer, once frozen you can pick them off and put them in a freezer bag or other freezer container and they will be good to cook from frozen for a few months.

When you come to cook them, add 10 minutes to the baking time on the pack to do them from frozen - so around 35-40 minutes for cooking pre-prepped and frozen sage & onion stuffing balls. No need to waste stuffing or go without just because you aren't feeding 6+ people
 
I love sage and onion stuffing, I just wish it loved me back🤬😵

I'm OK with it, there are some things that I really cannot handle (wholemeal bread) but sage and onion stuffing is thankfully something I can cope with - it does cause some considerable wind though!

The reason that I used that as an example is cos I don't know that it would be safe to use that method of prepping and freezing a pork-based stuffing, but with any veggie one the above method will be fine :)

I used to eat it in sandwiches 😆 oh the list of the stuff I can't eat these days without pain, the shits or puking is dull and long 🤬

Oh god stuffing and mayonnaise sarnies are the best 🤤

Sorry that you can't do that.

Tbh I often spend nights trying to get comfy while my stomach makes things difficult due to acid reflux
 
Caldo Verde - which is a simple and delicious Portuguese soup. Onion, chicken stock cube , onion , garlic , white pepper , a few herbs and diced potatoes and chouriço . Simmer till everything is soft , mash up or disintegrate the potatoes to thicken then add very finely sliced kale or cabbage . Simmer for another 15 mins and get the bread out .
