What's for tea tonight? (#8)

I found a leg of lamb I bought about 2 years ago at the bottom of the freezer yesterday when defrosting it. So it's gone in on a very low heat with an oregano, rosemary and garlic rub. I will portion it out for a curry, a tagine, a stew. Tonight's dinner will be the shredded lamb, spices, onions and salad in the Greek flatbreads for a sort of kebab, served with fries.

Finally had my vegetable stew with vegan dumplings tonight. Was bloody lovely. The dumplings I make from Atora vegetable suet are just as nice as the beef suet ones so I always have the vegetable suet ones now, which are vegan.
Inspire me....what's in your stew? I love dumplings so would like to add something like this to my repertoire.

Onion, potatoe, swede, leek, carrot, parsnip, celery and pearl barley with thyme and parsley and vegetable stock. I also put rosemary in my dumplings.

Sounds lush! I really fancy something involving dumplings. OH doesn't do swede or parsnip which is a shame because they are good ingredients for providing interest and nice chunks in the stew for texture, so I'd probably stick a tin of butter beans in instead - but yeah something like this has to be on the cards soon, especially with the weather getting chilly!
