Oh, I would have loved bread and bits tonight. I ate one mouthful of a vile Aldi no-chicken burger that I had to throw in the bin because it tasted so awful. Now attempting dinner #2: some vegetable bake thing that has been staring out at me from the freezer for months
At least tomorrow is Date Night and I can carouse with Mr Skim in a local restaurant, giddy with pay day riches until the mortgage payment goes out
I had a half a Zizzi the supermarket sourdough pizza & skinny fries. I missed breakfast , lunch was a shake, I went to aerobics so shoved aside the Gousto box. It was perfect.
Chicken and chips at Chris's chippie, Euston. I'm travelling up to Birmingham tonight so I'll eat before I get the train. (I don't believe in travelling on an empty stomach!). I've also got a couple of Cadbury Snack bars for the journey itself, and my mum said she'll cook me some tea when I arrive anyway.
Went to Meat Liquor. Had some deep-fried pickles with a pint of fruity IPA, then a ‘burger’ made out of roasted potato accompanied by a massive plate of chili bean fries with mustard and jalapeño, followed by Jäger-laced ice cream, which was followed by a shot of Jäger. In retrospect, I should have cut my losses at the pickles and gone straight to the Jäger.
We had tuna, leek and potato dauphinoise with a tomato, cucumber and olive salad with a vinaigrette (red wine vinegar) dressing.
I sliced all the potatoes in the magimix food processor I was given recently, prep took 10 minutes instead of nearly an hour finely slicing potatoes by hand, this meal is a firm favourite here but will now be doing it more frequently now it doesn't take so much effort
