What's for tea tonight? (#8)

This is happening again.

We've no sticky toffee pudding yet but I have to go pick up a prescription and may make a detour to the shops to rectify this.

I absolutely adore leek & potato soup, it is getting to that time of the year when making a large vat of the stuff is a very attractive proposition. May ask OH to pick up some leeks on the way home from work in the morning.

We need to know what you ordered
please!
It was a beef vindaloo and was simultaneously good and not so good. Good because it was a nice curry sauce, big portion, big chunks of lean and tender meat. Not so good because it was mild as fuck - almost no chilli heat to it.

If I had a brain in my head I would have rescued it by stirring some naga chilli pickle into it, which I have a jar of in the fridge, but I only just thought of that about 12 hours too late!

But my wife loved her chicken tikka masala so much she could almost not eat because she was grinning so much. It was 100% a hit with her. She actually couldn’t believe such tasty food was available in the tiny town she’d grown up in and that she’d never tried it before.
