What's for tea tonight? (#8)

YES, defo! I LOVE em!

I make THESE - with black beans though, not kidney beans - and done in a pan, as Ms T says (they won't fall apart, soj - the MUSH inside makes it all stick together, iyswim :D )!

Aye, looks pretty much the same sorta thing, eh? Fucking LUSH.

Off out doing poetry toneet, so sommat quickish...might even get a chippy tea :hmm:

Tonight probably an omelette.

You have inspired me to use the greens (along with some mushrooms and a TINY bit of cheddar) to make an omelette for lunch, B! I feel a whole lot less depressed about my food for the day now than I did when I was envisaging a bowl of soup AND a load of steamed greens on the side. :( :D In fact, I'm almost *looking forwards* to my JUST soup dinner, now! :D

I think there is a bit of chorizo in the cupboard, so if the boy doesn't eat it in the next 8 hours then I'll have a chorizo omelette :D

Hope he manages to keep his hands off, B! Although feta/peas/beans sounds pretty nice to me, too!

Anyway CHANGE OF PLAN here....I've got a dicky belly :hmm: ....so decided to keep it all very easy and just did the kids some cheese and ham toasties. Will have to serve them some grapes and strawberries on the side of their cream doughnuts, for health. :D

Looking like soup is quite a sensible choice for me after all (although.....no doughnut?!? :( )!

He hasn't eaten it, I think I'll do chorizo, green beans and a little cheddar. Sorry you're not feeling well hon... will the doughnut keep?

@ B - It will if I don't just STUFF IT ALL IN MY GOB! :D

I've felt ok for the last couple of hours or so, tbf - but that prob doesn't mean I shouldn't still be careful, iykwim.

But doughnuts, biddly! DOUGHNUTS!!!! :(

Well, over the course of Saturday I had wine, a burger, two sausages, crisps, banoffee pie, and possibly a mouthful of tiramisu :D

(was a one off meeting up with people I only see once a year or so, but still!)

Takeaway Pad Thai courtesy of a colleague who paid me back dosh I'd totally forgotten I'd lent him. I thought I was skint, but not as skint as I thought I was this morning.

My son's been at a three day violin summer school and I'm taking the small girl up there after school to see the concert they're doing  THEN dropping them off with their dad in town, so by the time I get back it'll probably just be egg and toast. :hmm:

Leftovers and anything that needs using up
Not much cooking to be done this weekend, there will be jerking in the park

Yep. Off into town at lunchtime to get myself some of that thin beef, coriander, lotus root and fried doufu (I'm making myself hungry now).

You're making me hungry too! I love that thin beef and the way it comes in little curls.

Are you China? Your mention of lunch time makes me think you're not.
