What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Thawed out scotch eggs, new potatoes, and whatever else is grabbed in time.

Roast lamb (w/garlic and rosemary), roast potatoes, roast baby beets, beet leaf (steamed), prolly some other greenness. Red wine.

Mustard chicken, new potatoes out of the garden that are quite possibly the best fucking spuds on Earth  and some salady bits n bobs.

Lamb shanks in red wine and mint, roast spuds and carrots, steamed green beans and broccoli. I might even have some stuffing too.

Hey feyr, long time no see!

We had spaghetti with red pesto and cheese. Proper dinners start again tomorrow.

Instant mash stops you shitting (if you have that problem)

Just something I found out by accident, might save my ring in the morning , my arse is that of a baboon atm

I had three bbq's this weekend.

Meat based madness

We're having spicy chicken strip/salad wraps.
Didn't have my peach yesterday so still enough left over for pudding....plus 3 strawbs and 2 blueberries from the garden :D ....so might do a 'fruit salad' to have with some greek yoghurt.

chicken fajitas in a smokey bbq\chicken tika marinade (got both left over nad mixed together it tastes nice) with whatever veg is in fridge

followed by strawberries and cream

That looks fucking great.
I would go for the following hearty platter:

Starter - Wye Valley Asparagus with Duck Egg Sauce

Fillet (300g) or Bone-in Sirloin (600g)
Beef Dripping Chips
Roast Field Mushrooms
Spinach – creamed

Seeing as I just wrote this out for Bee, I might as well share it:

It was absolutely gorgeous. Best steak I've had, it beat the wagyu I had in Vegas!

I had The roasted bone marrow and onions for starter, was good, not amazing. Then a bone on rib-eye, we shared it as it was huge... stunning, perfectly cooked, so tasty.

Had beef dripping chips AND tri cooked chips, didn't really bother with the latter after tasting the beef ones. Really good roasted field mushrooms and creamed spinach. The massive highlight was the bone marrow gravy I got to go with the steak.. oh my god... oh my god.. oh my god!

We had a Pinot Noir, not cheap... £55

I didn't see the bill thankfully! I'd definitely recommend it though. We couldn't eat it all so they bagged it up for us to take away :)

What's the place like? Ambience and all that?

another vote for hawksmoor!
as well as amazing steak (i had t-bone - flllet AND sirloin), they do amazing puddings - their sticky toffee pudding is one of the most delicious things i've ever tasted and i'm not that big on puddings
