What's for tea tonight? (#8)

Right, well you've spurred me on to do one today now for sure, NVP! :cool: :D

The kids are off to their dad's tonight so we'll have a late lunch one. :cool:

I'll see what they fancy and either make mini burgers out of the pork mince or kebab skewery type things :hmm: ...either way, wraps and salad to go with em.

Brisket with greek salad and garlic bread, for when I get back from sailing. The brisket is already in the slow cooker. I've also made another batch of caramelised red onion relish ftw :)

curry here tonight with the Waitrose £8 deal. I got a prawn masala, a Goan fish curry (hake), a spinach daal & pilau rice. Fish is for BF & his son and I got a veggie curry for me as there were no veggie mains included in the offer. From my freezer I have bombay potatoes from a previous tramps buffet delve & some naan bread.

some sort of pasta and pea thing.
last night i had an amazing tea - it was tinned tuna, pasta, red peppers, red onions, mayonnaise and lemon juice stirred up in a big bowl - so simple yet so tasty! gonna eat that again loads

Meant to be paella, but had a big breakfast so don't want rice now. Might dry fry the chorizo and bung in the prawns and some garlic and have that with salad :hmm:

saturday = takeout night

given its hot and we will probably eat n the garden... i am going to guess it will be... Pizza

what was I thinking!!! all curries below average & only pepped up with some mango chutney. For the £10 I spent I could have bought a few takeaway dishes & cooked my own rice...:facepalm:

Pizza Express American pizza (bought from the shop) with some added jalapenos and garlic bread. I need stodge after overdoing it last night :oops:

Half price deal on for you too eh? Had one of those for lunch yesterday, pepped up with a couple of homegrown chillies that I was trying out for the first time (one purrira, one cheeky). Fudging Michael Bolton on a stick they were hot - full on coughing fit on the first (surprise) taste, followed by a steady glow and forehead sweat trickle. Probably best not to munch down as if they were jalapenos on a PE American Hot anyway.

Also cooked some ribs and wings to try out some mildly different recipes for BBQ season - a qualified success, although the search for the perfect Buffalo wings recipe goes on. So will prob have a ribs and corn on cob lunch (yay!) followed by a Sunday roast later on
